Actress Shannen Doherty has vowed to sue a magazine that claims she has had extensive plastic surgery. The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star revealed she sobbed when she saw the cover of the current issue of Star magazine, which shows her picture and the headline: “Shannen Doherty’s Extreme Makeover: Has she had drastic plastic surgery?”The star claims she has retained a lawyer to sue the publication.“I went to work and my hairdresser David came to me and said, ‘Oh my God, did you see the cover of Star?’ and I went, ‘No, why?’ He told me and then he pulled it up online,” Doherty said on Monday’s episode of The View.“Production (of Breaking Up With Shannen Doherty) got halted for about an hour and a half because I was sobbing uncontrollably.”Asked if she has had plastic surgery, Doherty insisted: “No.“I’m actually willing to go so far as to go sit down with whatever plastic surgeon they want to put in front of me who can inspect my face,” she said.Doherty said she hopes to make Star magazine pay. “I’m willing to put as much money behind a lawsuit as humanly possible, just to sort of teach them a lesson,” she said.“If you didn’t have it (plastic surgery) and they’re saying that you did, then it’s embarrassing, it’s humiliating.”

In a lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Mark LaVoie claims he was working security at a Nine Inch Nails concert last October at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin, when he "was struck in the head by a cast iron microphone stand which had been intentionally thrown into the audience by the lead guitarist of Nine Inch Nails, Aaron North." LaVoie claims he was "knocked unconscious, fell to the floor, and was bleeding from a large laceration on the top of his head." Lavoie, who is also suing Aaron North, claims he suffered "serious pain and permanent injury."As an example of previous "outrageous acts of violence while performing with Nine Inch Nails," Lavoie’s lawsuit points to an incident in 2002 when North smashed a glass case — that contained a guitar previously played by Stevie Ray Vaughn — with a microphone stand and removed the guitar from the wall. See video of the incident HERE. Lavoie is seeking unspecified compensatory damages, as well as punitive damages.
