Remember in History of the World Part 1 when Madeline Kahn said no to all of those soldiers until she said yes? Well, it was the same thing with this year’s Oscars. Except the people that they were asking to host Hollywood’s big night were all saying no.
That was until today when Kevin Hart said yes to AMPAS and to us he had something else to say. He wrote, “For years I have been asked if I would ever Host the Oscars and my answer was always the same…I said that it would be the opportunity of a lifetime for me as a comedian and that it will happen when it’s suppose to. I am so happy to say that the day has finally come for me to host the Oscars. I am blown away simply because this has been a goal on my list for a long time…. To be able to join the legendary list of host that have graced that stage is unbelievable. I know my mom is smiling from ear to ear right now. I want to thank my family/friends/fans for supporting me & riding with me all this time…. will be sure to make this year’s Oscars a special one. I appreciate the @TheAcademy for the opportunity now it’s time to rise to the occasion #Oscars.”
I think they made it a good call. It just would have been a better one if they could have gotten The Rock to do with it him. Since I have been saying for the last three years that they should be the ones to doing it together.
Plus, the Academy got lucky getting him because they need a big name to MC the night. That is because the movies people want to get nominated (Black Panther and Crazy Rich Asians) will not and the ones they never heard of will. There has been absolutely no Oscar buzz and it is already December 4th.

Before Kevin Hart was hosting Hollywood’s biggest night, he wasn’t even headling at comedy clubs. How funny was the 19-year-old back in 1998 doing stand-up at Caroline’s?
The first trailer is out for The Upside and the American version of The Intouchables looks like it will touch our hearts. So much so, I am surprised that they are waiting until April to release it. It feels like an Oscar movie with the Oscar for Best Actor going to Kevin Hart. Just joking, going to Bryan Cranston, of course.
I don’t know about you, but I find shows like Might Tiny Houses on HGTV really interesting. I enjoy watching how they convert these little spaces into livable homes. Not that I could live in one, but the math behind it amazes me.
I am not the only one because Booking.com teamed up with Kevin Hart to make a tiny house that is just 268 square feet. A home that is the perfect size for him. Although, I am not sure if his good friend The Rock came by to visit if he would be able to fit in it. Do you?
Is Hart going to live in that house that makes him seem like a giant? Nope, according to Today, if you go to Elizabethtown, Pa, then you can stay in it. Why there? Because Tiny States is the largest community of tiny homes. Isn’t that an oxymoron?
We saw a lot of interesting characters on Flavor of Love and one of the women almost vying for Flavor Flav’s love was Tiffany Haddish.
The actress made the confession when she and Kevin Hart answered the Web’s Most Searched Questions for Wired. Someone asked if she was New York from the reality show? She was like, “Hell no, I got all my real t!tt!es and a$$.” Then she added, “You know I auditioned for that show, Flavor Flav. When I found out, it was Flavor Flav, you had to be in a house with, I was like, oh no, thank you.” Do you blame her?
Actually, I do because imagine how awesome she would have been on the show? But then again, she might not have done The Carmichael Show had she been on the reality dating series. That would have been a huge loss for just 15 seconds of fame.
