Did you know before Martin Lawrence and Will Smith starred in Bad Boys, the roles were supposed to go to Dana Carvey and Jon Lovitz. Well, you know the rest. They Saturday Night Live dup turned it down, and the Bad Boys became a huge success launching both their careers into superstardom.
The other night at the premiere of Bad Boys for Life, Smith was finally able to do something he was wanted to do for 25 years and that is to thank Lovitz for turning down the role. Although, the comedian says that he said yes to the part. Yeah, that’s it. That’s the ticket.
You have to give both men credit. The Critic for having the balls to show up to a movie premiere for a role that he was really stupid to turn down. The Fresh Prince for realizing this is someone whom he owes his career to and thanking him for it.
I wonder if Lovitz and Carvey had said yes if there would have been a sequel for the movie 25 years after it came out.
BTW Michael Bay was also not attached to the film in its original incarnation. What a difference some changes can make.

Before Jon Lovitz was a teacher in High School High, he was a student on The Paper Chase. He looks the same now as he did when he was 26 in that 1984 episode.
The first look at Keeping Up with The Joneses is out and it looks painfully bad. Call me a mad woman because that is how I felt after watching trailer for the film starring Jon Hamm.
And hasn’t this plot been done before and each time they do it, it gets worse and worse. So come up with a new idea because this one isn’t working.
Sorry for referring to Jon Hamm’s male anatomy in the headline, I was trying to prove a point.
Jon Lovitz shared a photo of himself sitting in a car with Jessica Lowndes and said, “Easter with my bunny, @jessicalowndes !!!♥️♥️♥️.” Since the 58 year old played a compulsive liar on Saturday Night Live for so many years, I am not sure he really is dating the beautiful 90210 actress who is only 27 years old. But then again, he didn’t end his Tweet with, “Yeah, that’s it. That’s the ticket,” so maybe he is telling the truth. “Yeah, that’s it. That’s the ticket.”
That and I don’t want to picture the two of them doing it like bunnies. Not to be The Critic or anything.
What do you think of this couple?
UPDATE: That’s it. That’s the ticket. It was all for her music video Deja Vu.
This Saturday at 9p, Jon Lovitz is going to perform as Billy Idol on ABC’s Sing Your Face Off and do you think he is on the Mony, Mony with his impersonation? I am sure the real rocker will let out a Rebel Yell when he watches the performance and wishes he had a face without eyes.
Now I am basing this review on just this photo, who knows he might be the best Billy Idol impersonator we have ever seen. We will just have to tune in to find out.
