Ever since Regis Philbin stopped doing Live with Regis and Kelly, we haven’t seen that much of him. Well, yesterday he came out of hiding on Jimmy Kimmel Live and he really let himself go. I mean, he didn’t get fat; but he has grown his hair out and also a long scraggly beard. I guess if you are not on television everyday, you don’t have to get a haircut or shave and you can look like the hermit you have become.
Now, having said all of that, Regis was just wearing a wig and fake beard to play Gd on the ABC late night talk show. This is a good example where writing a lie is so much better than telling the truth.

Remember when your parents threw you a party for your 10th birthday? It was at something like a bowling alley, an ice skating rink, a movie theater or a kid friendly restaurant. Well if your parents are Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz, then you are not going to have that normal party that you and I had. Zoe told her mom that she wanted to get her ears pierced when she was about 10, so The Cosby Show star threw her daughter a piercing party. You need a good piercer for the party, so her dad flew in a bald headed, tattooed lady friend to do the deed. When it was time for Zoe to get her first piercing, she wimped out. But her mom and her mom’s friends didn’t and got several of their body pierced. And all my mom got at my 10th birthday party was headache was from all of my screaming friends.
That wasn’t the only cool story from her childhood that she shared on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday. She also told the ABC late night host about the time she woke up to Ashton Kutcher making an omlette in dad’s kitchen when she was about 15. She gets Ashton and we woke up to our pop’s fat balding male friend making an overflowing bowl of cereal and us having nothing left to eat. Or maybe that was just my house.

Last week Jimmy Kimmel Live took the show to Austin and the ABC late night host saw it as another opportunity to torture his sweet Aunt Chippy. Throughout the years he has painted her house bright orange and green, pretended to be an annoying caller calling into her job and made her tape fake segments so he can her make her do it over and over again just to frustrate her.
Well last week he made her go to the Congress Avenue Bridge there and film the hundreds of thousands of bats that live there as they flew by. Sounds innocent enough, but this is Kimmel the biggest prankster in late night and she is his favorite target. So as the nocturnal mammals were flying over, Cousin Sal threw some rubber bats on top of her. Her reaction to it all was so perfect and that is why I love Aunt Chippy so much. I just wish that one day someone like Ashton Kutcher or George Clooney would help her get back at Jimmy and Sal because revenge on them has been a long time coming for this poor innocent woman.

On Sunday night, some of Hollywood’s biggest stars took part in Jimmy Kimmel Live‘s annual post-Oscars special bits and yesterday the ABC late night show aired some behind the scenes footage from the shoots.
Many of you were probably wondering how he got people like Tom Hanks, Sir Ben Kingsley, Mandy Patinkin, Samuel L Jackson, Chris and Liam Hemsworth to do it, well Meryl Streep revealed how, he showed up to her house “crying his eyes out like a little bitch.” So now it all makes sense.

Jimmy Kimmel mentions Rob Ford on his ABC late night show at least once a night. Well, the infamous Mayor of Toronto has flown to LA to attend the Oscars and to be on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday. So how far is Kimmel willing to go for his favorite politician? He braved the rain, dressed up as a limo driver and picked Ford up from LAX. How many other late night hosts would do that for their guests? None! And if I were going to be a guest on JKL in the future and I have to fly in to do it, I would insist that Kimmel does the same for me. I mean, they should all get such special treatment. Right?
BTW I hope they show all of this on JKL tomorrow at 11:35p. But then again they say what happens in the back of a limo, stays in the back of a limo. At least that is what my prom date told me…
