Jimmy Fallon, his wife, Nancy Juvonen, and their two daughters went to Serendipity in NYC and started a new family tradition. The four of them shared a big mug of frozen hot chocolate. I don’t know who enjoyed it more, The Tonight Show host and his wife or Winnie and Frances, I think it is a tie because who doesn’t love frozen hot chocolate.
BTW I hope this Norman Rockwell like photo ends the rumors that he is having marital problems!
Star Wars: The Force Awakens broke so many records in its first few days, and it looks like it will be breaking a whole lot more before it ends its theatrical run. You could say the latest movie in the franchise is staying alive. Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show believe it so much that he mashed up the cast from the first 6 movies so it sounds like that they are singing the Bee Gees’ classic. It is crazy how well it works, and that could be because the first three movies came out in the Disco era! Ah Ah Ah Ah!
Yesterday, in a galaxy far far away, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots did the unthinkable on The Tonight Show. They recreated the music from the Star Wars franchise with just their voices. While that is special enough, the cast of Star Wars: The Force Awakens helped them out.
Not since the movie’s soundtrack, have I enjoyed those tunes as much I did with this version. I give it two lightsabers up! Don’t take my word for it, this version was so good that Darth Vader came over to the light side!
For the fourth year in a row, Jimmy Fallon and Rashida Jones have turned the year’s biggest songs into holiday classics for Thanksgiving, Chanukah and Christmas. This year’s medley included Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood, Rihanna’s Bitch Better Have My Money, Silento’s Watch Me, Drake’s Hotline Bling and Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk to name a few. But the last one had a nice surprise because Eric Nally joined them for Downtown, I mean North Pole! The only song they were missing was Shut Up and Eat, I mean Dance by Walk the Moon.
Hopefully in 2016, the two of them record Season’s Greetings album, so they can we have full length versions of the songs that will be playing in our houses from Thanksgiving to New Year’s.
Adele was a guest on The Tonight Show the other night and Jimmy Fallon asked her to perform her song Hello with The Roots using just classroom instruments and she said yes. Now, if you are like me, then you wondered how they are going to do that because the school instruments would make the ballad more upbeat. It does, and it somehow works brilliantly. But then again can Adele do any wrong?
The best part about this version of the chart topper, is that it is one time you won’t cry when you listen to it.
And on that note, could you imagine being in that small room and hearing her angelic voice in a confined space like that. They probably felt like they were transported to heaven when she reached the chorus. I know I would.
