Tonight at 10p, it is time for the season finale of Chucky on Syfy and USA Network. As you can expect, there will be death. And it will be that of leading characters from the first episode. Who? I can’t tell you. But I can tell you that it is at least one of the characters we like.
Will it be Jake (Zackary Arthur), this Chucky’s first owner? What about Devon (Björgvin Arnarson), who went to Charles Lee Ray’s old house on the last episode? The bad girl turned good Lexie (Alyvia Alyn Lind)? Her boyfriend Junior (Teo Briones), who Chucky convinced to kill his father? Has Chucky finally killed Andy (Alex Vincent) after all of these decades? Will Nica (Fiona Dourif) finally meet her doom? And then there is Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly), who has been asking for it for years?
At least one person won’t be back for season 2 in 2022. That’s right; the show will be back for a second season. Was there any doubt? I can’t wait to see what Chucky does next because he is so good at being so bad!
Last week on Chucky, Junior (Teo Briones) and Devon (Björgvin Arnarson) both lost their moms to the killer doll. Tonight at 10p on Syfy and USA Network, Junior, Devon, Jake (Zackary Arthur), and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind) deal with the ramifications of their deaths in different ways.
Devon is over his fight against Chucky as he prepares for his life without his mom. Junior doesn’t know about Chucky, and he handles his grief differently. Lexy and Jake will continue the war, but how much longer can they do it, and how much more blood needs to be spilled? All I will tell you is that someone doesn’t make it to the credits.
Meanwhile, we get more of Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif) and Tiffany’s (Jennifer Tilly) backstory. We might go into the past for that, but in present-day Tiffany collides with Junior’s dad (Devon Sawa) at the funeral. What does she want from the Wheeler family?
All leads to a shocking ending that will make you wish that it was next week to see what happens next.
If you are not watching Chucky, you are missing the best new horror show in a really long time.
Also at 10p, but on NBC is New Amsterdam. It is Max (Ryan Eggold) and Helen’s last day at New Amsterdam (Freema Agyeman). What could go wrong? A superbug invades the hospital, and patients are dying on every floor. Will it be enough to convince them to stay? All I will say is that we will know their decision at the end of the episode.
Jennifer Tilly and Child’s Play’s evil genius Don Mancini have an unbreakable bond. So much so, they bathe together, as you can see. So, what could come between them? Only one thing, and it is Chucky!
So, this post should have been a review of tonight’s episode of Chucky on USA and Syfy at 10p. But it is such a game-changing episode; I can’t write it up without spoiling it. But I will tell you that Tilly finally makes her debut on the series as Tiffany. Good things come to those who wait, even if it is a very bad character! That is why we love her in this role.
If you haven’t been watching Chucky, you have been missing out on a program that changes up the franchise and keeps what makes Child’s Play so legendary at the same time. It is surprising how well they were able to adapt it for television but keep the nuances that we got from the big screen.
So catch up on the series on Syfy.com, USANetwork.com, OnDemand, Peacock. You will be hooked by the end of the first episode.
Halloween is coming early this year because Chucky, the television series, is debuting on SYFY and USA on October 12th. So mark your calendars because you don’t want to miss our favorite killer doll killing people on a weekly basis.
Especially since his Geppetto, Don Mancini. is the man behind the series. Not only is he involved with the show, so is Chucky’s Bride, Jennifer Tilly.
It is going to be a long three months, but it will be like Christmas in October when the show finally debuts.
Tom Arnold and Jennifer Tilly shared photos of each other and called themselves husband and wife. Do they have something to tell us? Yes, they are married. However it is only for their movie together High Holiday. Don’t they look good together?
