CeeLo Green was on The Tonight Show yesterday and Jay Leno asked the F*ck You singer about his talent for singing TV Theme Songs. Seems the coach from The Voice has a knack for singing the songs that open television shows. So the NBC late night host asked him to sing a few. First up was The Golden Girls, followed by The Jeffersons, Family Ties and finally The Brady Bunch. All four of those songs were made a little bit better with his voice, that is when he knew the words to them.
Seriously his excitement as he belted out those songs, just brought a big old smile to my face and I am hoping it does the same for you!
BTW it really makes me sad that shows have stopped using theme songs because they really helped to make shows better and more memorable. Think how excited you get whenever you hear the opening to Friends, Cheers or The Greatest American Hero to name a few. It’s a happiness the networks are depriving us from these days and I want them back. Do you agree?
Jimmy Fallon is taking over The Tonight Show in January and looks like Jay Leno will do anything he can to keep his job. Watch the above video from the show last night and see how far he is willing to go to remain the host of the NBC late night show. Let’s just say it is pretty far!
Yesterday on The Tonight Show, Jay Leno once again aired another Copy Cats segment. Basically he finds video of humans doing something and then he shows us animals doing the same thing. What we get is one of the cutest things you get to see on late night television. So watch it all the way through because there really is a monkey see, monkey do video in it. And you will be laughing and awwwwwing at the same time when it comes on.
There is a mechanic in Burbank, who’s become a YouTube sensation because of his dancing commercial. Well Jay Leno let us know yesterday on The Tonight Show that that guy is not the only one in the 91505 who dances around in his garage. Late night’s biggest car enthusiast also does it, but with a lot more skin revealed.
Normally I am proud to say I live in the same zip code where those two guys work, but today not so much. I am holding my head down in shame. So watch the advertisement below and feel my embarrassment.
Jay Leno is a guest on The Late Late Show tonight, and Craig Ferguson and him heckled a female comedian who was doing her act on the CBS talk show that airs at 12:37a.
Comedian Cameron Esposito was talking about what type of dresses her girlfriend and her are going to wear when they get married. She said that they’re going to wear denim ones and then referenced that Leno likes blue jeans. Well Craig interrupted her and asked, “Are you saying he is a lesbian?” Then she tried to respond back to the two veteran comedians and it didn’t work as well as she liked. Realizing that her first late night talk experience wasn’t going as well as she hoped, she asked if she could interview them. It was then that they told her she is the future of late night TV. So much so that Leno told her that “white men are on the way out.” Which I assume he is referring to the late night television market. Only problem with his theory is that the person who’s replacing the person who is replacing him is white, so maybe not just yet. Although when Letterman and Craig are gone from their shows, it will be interesting to see who will replace the two white males. Will they finally get a woman and/or someone of color to host a late night show on the big three or will it be another honky? I am hoping for some diversity and also someone who is not named Jimmy to fill the vacated slots.
BTW I am not including Joan Rivers, Chelsea Handler, Arsenio Hall or George Lopez in this mix because they did/do not host a show on any of the big three networks, CBS, NBC or ABC.
