Even though no one asked for a sequel to Indiana Jones & The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Harrison Ford are doing a 5th one. Will they at least save us some misery by not bringing back Shia LaBeouf’s useless character? Screenwriter David Koepp told Entertainment Weekly, “Harrison plays Indiana Jones, that I can certainly say…And the Shia LaBeouf character is not in the film.”
That is the good news, the bad news is that they are still making it and it might be Spielberhg’s next film. Isn’t it time to let a huge rock roll over the franchise because that is how we all felt when Indy survived a nuclear bomb by hiding out in refrigerator. That was so awful and not in a good awful way.
Harrison Ford was on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday to promote the home video version of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and the ABC late night host wanted to know if it’s true that he has been trying to get Hans Solo killed off for 30 years. The actor admitted that he finally wore them down and that is why his character met his ultimate fate.
Will he back for the last two Star Wars movies? He wouldn’t say.
Then Kimmel wanted to know if he was surprised that his death remained a secret until the film came out. Ford told him, “It is pretty amazing actually. That people, sort of, respected fellow audience members, to the extent that it didn’t get around. It was fantastic.” Then he added, “I think they knew I would show up at their house and beat the sh!t out of them.”
On that note, he also talked about putting on his fedora for a 5th time to play Indiana Jones. When asked if that character would meet the same fate, he was just as tight lipped as he was about whether he would be back for any more Star Wars movies. So we don’t know just yet.
BTW when it comes to Hans Solo’s death, someone spoiled it for me opening weekend and that is a part of the reason why I still haven’t the biggest movie ever released in America. Just don’t tell Ford because I don’t want him beating the sh!t out of the sweet young innocent girl who told me. She doesn’t understand what a spoiler is, so I can’t wait to ruin Bambi, The Lion King and Old Yeller for her.
Even though Harrison Ford is 73 years old, that isn’t stopping Stephen Spielberg and him from doing another Indiana Jones movie. Disney announced today that he will put on that wool felt fedora one more time. Hopefully he won’t suffer the same fate as Hans Solo.
I would be a lot more excited about this announcement if it wasn’t for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. That movie was so awful. But then again this movie has potential because George Lucas isn’t attached to it.
When can you see Indiana Jones 5? Set a reminder on your computer/phone for July 19, 2019 because we are going to forget that this is going to happen until they remind us about it in 3 years with they release the first teaser trailer for it.

Before Harrison Ford was a cop in Hollywood Homicide, he was having a party that a cop would want to bust in Getting Straight. How cute was the 27 year old in that 1970 movie?
Harrison Ford was a guest on Late Night yesterday and he used the force to pierce Jimmy Fallon’s ear! Maybe it is because I am a sadist, but I enjoyed watching how nervous the NBC late host was as he waited for Indiana Jones to stick a little needle through his ear. As someone who has piercings, they don’t hurt to get but the first time you get one the anticipation is beyond painful! It also didn’t help Fallon that Ford was enjoying torturing him. Thanks Han Solo for that. If this acting thing doens’t pan out, he can so get a job as a piercer!
