Have you been patiently waiting for new episodes of Euphoria and wondered when the drama would come back? HBO announced today that the second season will debut on January 9th. Sadly, you will have to wait a few more days to unwrap this Christmas present.
When it comes to what we can expect, HBO didn’t say much. All they said is, “Amidst the intertwining lives in the town of East Highland, 17-year-old Rue (Zendaya) must find hope while balancing the pressures of love, loss, and addiction.”
So, we will just have to rewatch the trailer for clues.
HBO Max released a teaser for the sequel for Sex and the City, And Just Like That they got you excited for its release on December 9th.
It doesn’t tell you what’s going to happen, but it shows you who is in it besides Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristen Davis. Those whos are Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, the late great Willie Garson, and Evan Handler.
Do they have you counting the seconds until its debut? I would be, but there is one who missing, and she is the only one I care about.
When I heard they were remaking Head of the Class, I wasn’t sure how to feel about it. I am a fan of the original, and I didn’t think they could recreate that magic. However, HBO Max found a way to do it.
It is not the same, but it works for 2021. Shows for teenagers are different now, as compared to what they were in the ’80s. Therefore, the producers adapted it for today’s youth. However, us former youths can enjoy it too.
So what is the remake about? Alicia (Isabella Gomez) is a new teacher, who wants to be the cool teach, and she is assigned the Honors Debate class. She has five over-achieving students to her class, and she wants to befriend them all. They are skeptical because she is a teacher.
Who are these students? There is Luke, who is the future overworked businessman of American. Miles (Adrian Matthew Escalona) is his best friend, and he is timid. Luke is going to try to get him to come out of his shell by forcing him to do things he doesn’t want to do. Luke is doing this to help his friend, not hurt. However, that will backfire on him during the pilot episode.
Terrell (Brandon Severs) is a jock and he has a crush on the Principal’s (Christa Miller) popular daughter Sarah (Katie Beth Hall). Sarah is not in the debate class, but she winds up joining.
Robyn (Dior Goodjohn) and (Jolie Hoang-Rappaport) are besties, and they support their classmates. They are neither popular nor losers.
Together the six of them are ready to take on any debate and anyone who wants to take them on. They need to stick together because being the smart kids can cause their classmates to make fun of them. And with Alicia’s help, they are going to do just that!
What we get is a show that we will enjoy watching them become a strong group in the first ten episodes that are available to stream now. So spend the weekend binging the comedy. And then, when you are done, you can binge the original Head of the Class.
It is the perfect way to spend the day because they make high school look like fun. That is the good thing about TV shows. They set us up for the fail. What HS was ever like the one we saw on TV?
Head of the Class is created by Bill Lawrence, Amy Pocha, and Seth Cohen.
If I were a network head and I was asked, would you rather do a Perfect Strangers reboot or revival, I would say a revival. Well, HBO Max said reboot, according to Deadline.
They have opted to do one with Robin Thede and London Hughes as two half-sisters who didn’t know about each other until they inherit an apartment in Brooklyn.
That sounds nothing like the original. So why not say it is an original show than claiming to be a reboot? It isn’t. Unless the sister is a cousin from the Greek island of Mypos, then it is not a reboot.
Stop saying it is a reboot when it isn’t. HBO Max is extremely guilty of this.
Back to show, who else would rather watch Bronson Pinchot and Mark Linn-Baker reprise their roles than this crap.
For 17 years, Friends’ fans have been waiting to see their Friends together again. Today, it finally happened on HBO Max.
Along with Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer, there were several guest appearances from people who appeared on the show and celebs who were fans of it. However, the two that interested me the most were the show’s creators, David Crane and Marta Kauffman. They gave a lot of interesting tidbits. In fact, their reveals were better than whatever the cast told us.
What did we learn from Friends: The Reunion. We learned a lot but their five things that really caught my interest.
1 – The executive producers told us who turned down Friends because they quit acting. Someone close to them convinced them to steal Lisa Kudrow from Mad About You. She was not the only one on another show at the time. One actor begged to be released from the show they were on, while the other one got the blessing from a studio exec to leave the pilot and join Friends. And then there was the one who shared a scene with the actor who was also up for their role on the sitcom.
2 – David Schwimmer really hated the monkey. It is obvious; he still holds resentment towards the actor who played the cute Marcel.
3 – The actors would do a huddle before every show. The one time they didn’t, LeBlanc got hurt. We get to see how he hurt himself and how the writers wrote his injury into the show.
4 – There was one moment that was only supposed to be a one-time joke. However, it turned into something that lasted throughout the series’ run. That is because the fans asked for it, and the producers listened to them.
5 – You can see Schwimmer’s face on Matt LeBlanc during bloopers. Who came up with that idea? Who do you think?
I think fans of the show are going to love this special. If you are not, like me, then you will be bored and remember how irritating some of them are.
