HBO Max lassos Wonder Woman: 1984
November 19th, 2020 under Gal Gadot, HBO Max. [ Comments: none ]

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Wonder Woman 1984’s release date has been pushed back several times. With no end in sight for the virus and movie theaters still closed in the United States, Warner Bros decided to release the anticipated sequel in theaters starting December 16th and on HBO Max on Christmas Day.

“IT’S TIME. We’ve all waited a long time for this one to come. I can’t tell you how excited I am for all of you to see this movie. It wasn’t an easy decision and we never thought we’d have to hold onto the release for such a long time but COVID rocked all of our worlds. We feel the movie has never been so relevant and we hope that it’ll bring some joy, hope and love to your hearts. Wonder Woman 1984 is a special one for me and I can only hope it’ll be as special to you too. We’ve put our hearts and souls into it,” Gadot wrote “So.. you can watch it IN THEATERS (they’re doing an amazing job keeping it safe) and you can also watch it on HBOMAX from your homes.
Sending you my love. Please keep safe and wear a mask. Happy holidays to all of us!
Let the light shine in🙅🏻‍♀️💪🏼👊🏼💋✨💫”

WW84 will available for one month on the streaming site at no extra cost.

Ever since Mulan was released on Disney+, I have been saying that they should do this for WW84. I am happy they finally decided to do it.

Haute Dog is the hautest show of the year!
September 23rd, 2020 under HBO Max. [ Comments: none ]

https://youtu.be/GgZnIYreLuk
We have seen reality competition grooming shows that have focused on those who walk on two legs. Tomorrow, we will see one that is dedicated to the ones who walk all fours. Haute Dog is about giving man’s best friend a whole new look. They will go from ruff to arfmazing right before our eyes.

On each episode of the HBO Max series, three groomers will compete in two rounds to give an average pooch an extreme makeover from nose to tail. At the end of the second round, the winner goes home with the barktastic prize of $10,000. They can buy a lot of dog bones to keep their clients calm when they get back home.

What more could we ask for to bring some much needed joy into our lives? Even my cat thinks it looks purrfect.

Subscribe to HBO Max today because you don’t want to miss a second of Haute Dog. That is because each second is like 8 seconds in a dog’s life, and that is a lot.

West Wing gets a special benefit episode on HBO Max
August 25th, 2020 under Dulé Hill, HBO Max, Rob Lowe. [ Comments: none ]

While we are still waiting for the Friends unscripted reunion to happen on HBO Max, the streaming service announced that they are staging another reunion. The cast of West Wing will reunite to reenact the Hartsfield’s Landing episode.

The 2002 episode is described as, “Bartlet engages both Sam and Toby in intricate chess matches that mirror the wily game of brinkmanship that Bartlet is playing with the Chinese, who are conducting war games in the Taiwan Strait.”

Aaron Sorkin, who created the legendary series, will direct Rob Lowe, Dulé Hill, Allison Janney, Janel Moloney, Richard Schiff, Bradley Whitford, and Martin Sheen. They will film it over a few days as the actors perform the script at the Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles in early October.

The press release does not say when it will start streaming, but it will be before the election. That is because the performance is benefitting Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote. The nonprofit wants to inspire increased voting participation.

I would not be surprised that if this does well, the series we might get a West Wing revival. One of them could be the President of the United States now. Who do you think would have the job?

Josh Groban loves trash!
July 23rd, 2020 under HBO Max, Josh Groban, Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: none ]

Because of Josh Groban’s operatic voice, we think he is a classy guy. It turns out the singer loves trash. So much so, he is singing about it with Oscar the Grouch on HBO Max’s The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo.

You know what, hobo chic works on the Grobs. I think he should make it his new look, and bring his new friend on the road with him (when musicians can start touring again). If they go on tour together, then Oscar the Grouch won’t be as grouchy. That is because he would be making a killing cleaning up all of the garbage left over at a Groban concert. What more does he want? What more do we want? And who knew that trash could sound as good as Groban makes it sound. That voice is far from trashy.
