Miracle Workers is miraculous!

When I read about Miracle Workers, I was like this comedy can either work or fail big time. Then when I got the screeners, I had to watch it immediately to see which way it was going to go. It goes straight up to heaven! Like when the clouds split open, the harp plays as it welcomes it to the Pearly Gates. Ahhhhh!

Miracle Workers debuts at 10:30p tonight on TBS and you do not want to miss it. If you do, then you will face the wrath of Gd. That is because the show is about him. Steve Buscemi plays Gd as the divine one has never been played before. He is basically an unlikable nincompoop who is not the brightest star in the universe. Then one day he decides that he does not like what is going on down on Earth, so he decides to destroy it.

Craig (Daniel Radcliffe) works in the prayer department at Heaven, Inc. and he has been doing it alone for the last 10,000 years. After doing it for so long all by himself, he finally gets a co-worker. Eliza (Geraldine Viswanathan) is a positive overachiever who thinks she can do it all. Therefore, when she hears Gd wants to destroy our planet, she chooses to make a deal with the Lord to save it. All she and Craig have to do is make one prayer come true. In other words, a miracle. Sounds easy, but is impossible. Especially, when they keep hitting obstacle after obstacle. Yet, they won’t give up.

As the weeks go on, they will get some help from Gd’s personal assistants (Karan Soni and Lolly Adefope). They cannot stand working for Gd because he has no idea what he is doing and they spend their whole day cleaning up his many messes. They are not the only ones who hate him, so do his parents (yes he has them), his siblings and everyone else at Heaven, Inc.

When Gd says he is going put an end to Earth, the day cannot come soon enough for everyone in Heaven. They are all ready to move on. What happens when our fab four need them to make their miracle happen? Will they help them save Earth or let Gd blow it up.

I cannot tell you that. What I can say is it will all be resolved by the end of the season. That and this is a thoroughly awesome show. You will love it because it is a sweet quirky comedy. It is one of those shows that you instantly fall in love with and enjoy every single minute. You will love the concept, the writing, the characters, you will love it all. It is the best-written thing since the Bible. Too far!

Anyways, I have never seen anything else like it. Who knew you can make a show where Hashem is not perfect, far from it, and yet it is one of the greatest shows you have seen. It is not sacrilegious, it is just good innocent addictive fun.

Like I said, you better watch it because you do not want to piss off the man upstairs.

Has Daniel Radcliffe seen the Harry Potter show on Broadway?
November 23rd, 2018 under Harry Potter, Seth Meyers. [ Comments: none ]

As we know Daniel Radcliffe was Harry Potter and he has done Broadway shows. Therefore, it would make sense that Seth Meters asked him if he has seen Harry Potter and the Cursed Child when he was on Late Night the other night.

The actor told the NBC host that he has not. Not because he does not want to, but he just feels that people would be distracted by him and would what not know what he is thinking throughout the whole show.

Why doesn’t the magician where a costume? He said, “The thing about a disguise is that if it stops working then you are just a dude who were a disguise.” Which makes sense. Especially after the time he and Rupert Grint went to a festival and they wore gas masks as a way to hide from the public. When they got too hot, they took them off and they looked like fools because people know who there were now and they felt and looked stupid.

I bet you if he went to the show dressed as Harry Potter no would recognize him. Sometimes the most obvious is the best costume.

What if the Beast was Lord Voldemort?
February 13th, 2017 under Harry Potter. [ Comments: none ]

Emma Watson became a household name when she starred in the Harry Potter movies, and looks like her past is coming back to haunt. At least in Pistol Shrimps’ world because they mashed up the trailer for her new movie Beauty and the Beast with Lord Voldemont as the lead. Just like Shrimp Scampi, you will devour it up.

Especially if you are one of those girls who not only loves Disney Princesses but also Harry Potter. It is a dream come true to be their guest!

I have no idea what Eddie Redmayne and Jimmy Fallon are doing here
November 10th, 2016 under Harry Potter, Jimmy Fallon. [ Comments: none ]

Eddie Redmayne was a guest on The Tonight Show yesterday and he taught Jimmy Fallon the Mating Dance from his new movie Fantastic Beasts.
I know it is called the Mating Dance, but it didn’t do anything for me. And I have been described as a fantastic beast in the place where you mate.

Will Daniel Radcliffe go naked again in his new play?
June 15th, 2016 under Broadway, Harry Potter, Stephen Colbert. [ Comments: none ]

A few years ago when Daniel Radcliffe starred in Equus on Broadway and he went fully naked. In a few weeks he is hitting the stage again and Stephen Colbert wanted to know on his Late Show if we are going to see the actor’s magic wand again in Privacy. Harry Potter told him, “I mean, one of the great things about the show is that it is going to be changing on a nightly basis. Based on things the audience is doing, so who knows?
According to Playbill‘s description of the off-Broadway show, “Privacy explores our complicated relationship with technology and data through the funny and heart-breaking travails of a lonely guy (Radcliffe), who arrives in the city to figure out how to like, tag, and share his life without giving it all away. The play uncovers what our technological choices reveal about who we are, what we want and who’s keeping track of it all. This provocative theatrical event will ask audiences to charge their phones, leave them ON during the performance and to embark on a fascinating dive online and into a new reality where we’re all connected…for better or worse.”
I hope that the audience asks for a nude Selfie from him every night! If they he’ll be playing to packed houses every night. Heck, I’d fly across the country to see that.
