Thirty-five years ago Halloween was forever changed thanks to man by the name of Michael Myers. To celebrate his anniversary Anchor Bay released a special anniversary Blu-ray edition with never before seen features that available for you to own now.
The scary tale has been transferred to HD with the help of from the movie’s cinematographer, Dean Cundey. Along with the visual update director John Carpenter and star Jamie Lee Curtis lent their voices for a brand new audio commentary track. Curtis also participates in an hour-long featurette where you get to really know her as she meets some of Laurie Strode’s biggest fans. She lets the cameras in and we get to see what finally got her to attend the function, personal stories from her life after Halloween and her interaction with the fans. One of the most fascinating reveals is that she is not a fan of horror movies even though her mom and her such a big part of the genre.
The special features also include an on-location feature for the 20th anniversary and you hear why they chose the locations that they did. We get a tour of the Haddonfield, Illinois that really is in Pasadena, Ca and West Hollywood.
The original trailer and radio spots are included. After you select those special features you will be surprised the movie did as well as it did. Unlike today trailers, the movie is so much better than the trailer.

This is a must own for any fan of the Halloween franchise, so what are you waiting for? Run out and get it while supplies last.
We all know babies can’t talk, unless they are in Look Who’s Talking, Baby Geniuses or cartoons, buy yet they found a way to let the world know how they feel about a certain thing. The infants of the world are biting mad that their parents are dressing them up in ridiculous costumes for Halloween just because they think it is awwwdorable. So they released a PSA that aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live and if we adults don’t listen they will bite back…that is when they finally get teeth!
I am willing to pay the price because I prefer the cuteness over a little pain or spit up. I mean seriously how precious are those pictures of the under ones in their Halloween costumes?
Last year Jimmy Kimmel Live offered a challenge to his viewers who had young kids to tell them that they ate all of their children’s Halloween candy as they captured it on video and it was a huge huge huge success. Well if you have a hit, you might as well do it again and that the show did. Last night on the ABC late night show they aired a compilation video of several parents who pulled the mean trick on their kids this year and it turned on to be a bigger treat than last year. Some of the kids had the reaction that I would have and others will shock you. Let’s just say some parents are whole lot luckier than others. We should all be so lucky to have little ones like the toddlers at the end of the video, but sadly they are more like the majority. I know my demon spawn will be like some of the biggest terrors that you see on the video.
To see all the raw videos that were submitted on YouTube, you can watch it here.
Yesterday David Letterman had some kids stop by The Late Show set to go Trick or Treating and they definitely had on some interesting costumes that you have never seen before and never will again. Kids will go as almost anything on Halloween, but I am not sure how many of them are lining to dress up like what the children wore on the CBS late night show. Now even though they wouldn’t wear those disguises, I would totally dress my kids up as some them!
Which was your favorite? I loved the one with the two little girls towards the end!
Even though Halloween is a week a way, ABC is celebrating it tonight with their spooktacular sitcoms!
At 8p The Middle gets real scary because Sue is learning how to drive. Let’s just say someone will the pay the price for being too close to the car. And then there is Brick who becomes a lot less scary when he downs a bag of sugar ie Halloween candy. Have the Hecks finally found a way to make their youngest son normal?
Then at 8:30p it’s the Aliens first Halloween-ween on The Neighbors and The Weavers can’t wait to teach them all about it. Up until now Larry Bird thought the strangely dressed short people trying to get in to their community were trying to attack them and The Weavers tell him that is not so. He doesn’t believe them, but Jackie Joyner-Kersee is more willing to do so. She gets the others on her side and they get a crash course on the holiday. Are they ready for the Trick or Treaters or is it too much for them? You have to tune into the show’s funniest episode to date and they have all been a hilarious. In fact I enjoyed tonight’s episode so much, I really hope ABC picks up the show ASAP so we can get more holiday specials. I would love to see April Fool’s Day through their eyes.
Then at 9:30p on Suburgatory someone is going to lose their hair for Halloween. Let’s just says a razor will be shaving off a lot and I do mean a lot of hair and that person will look completely different. If it wasn’t their voice, you never would recognize the hairless person. Know who it is?
Finally at 10p Nashville gets scary but not in the Halloween way. Juliette Barnes’ mom finds her and she begs her daughter to let her back in her life. Juliette is still begging Deacon to join her on the tour, and he has yet to make a decision. Meanwhile Reyna and her husband are having financial difficulties and all her people want her to do is go on tour with Juliette. She still refuses to do it and her father gives her some money to help her out but it comes with conditions. She finds out from her sister why her dad is so against her being a singer and it will change a lot of things for her. Finally Scarlett O’Connor is ready to record her first tracks and something will happen to put that all in jeopardy. Nashville gets better every week and tonight won’t disappoint!
