Because the Disco Queen looks even better now than she did in the ’80s. So she knew when she sang I Will Survive that she would. And she has.

Almost everyone, no matter their age, knows the song I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor. I am sure even BTS has heard her Disco hit. However, they might be surprised to hear that she has heard of them too.
The legendary Diva danced to their chart-topper Butter, and the 77-year-old can still boogie with the best of them, including the K-Pop band. Maybe the 8 of them can mash up their songs I Will Survive and Permission to Dance. I am sure if they did, it would become a mega-hit!

If ever there was a New Year’s Eve in our lifetime that we needed to be reminded that we will survive, it is this one. That is why the producers of Times Square New Year’s Eve asked Gloria Gaynor to be their performer for the night.
The legendary singer will sing her huge hits I Will Survive and Never Can Say Goodbye, along with Joy Comes In The Morning from her 2020 Grammy-winning Gospel album Testimony.
This is the perfect way to welcome in 2021. That is if we make it to December 31st. It is 2020, and anything can happen.

Back in 1979, Gloria Gaynor sang a little song that you might have heard of. It is called I Will Survive? That is something the Disco singer is going to do because she sings it whenever she washes her hands properly. This way she won’t get the Coronavirus.
We should all do that too so that we can survive to sing that catchy tune at our grandchildren’s wedding. That single never gets old, just like Gaynor.
