Ever since the world has been on lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic, live music has been silenced. No one knows when we will be able to go to a concert again.
Actually, that is no longer true. Garth Brooks announced today on Good Morning America that on June 27th, he will be doing the first concert in nearly three months. What? How? Where? Why?
Brooks and Encore Live have teamed up for a one-night event at around 300 drive-in theaters across the US. For $100 per vehicle, you can bring your family and friends from low places in a car or a truck, and watch Garth do what he does best on the big screen. That is performing. His wife is better at cooking on the small one. I say that with love Trisha Yearwood.
Anyways, it is a creative and safe way to enjoy a concert again, and I am happy they are making it happen. Hopefully, this could become a weekly event. There are two musicians that I would pay for in this type of scenario, and they are Bon Jovi and Madonna. Who would you pay to see?
In order for us to get more shows, then we have to go to this one. Tickets will be available on June 19th at the overpriced Ticketmaster. How generous would it be if they waved their service charge?
Another nice thing would be if they put the cars in the front and trucks in the back. If they don’t, then all of y’all tall people will finally understand why us shorter people hate standing behind you on the floor at a show.
Before Kate Hudson was trying to lose Matthew McConaughey in How To Lose a Guy In 10 Days, Trisha Yearwood knew how to get rid of him in Walkaway Joe. The 22-year-old actor looked alright, alright, alright in that 1992 music video.
Garth Brooks has a new song out with Blake Shelton called Dive Bar and he took the music video to a low place. As in the film crew took a dive and filmed it in a swimming pool while the singers stayed dry. However, the crew went for a swim.
The video just wrapped, so all we have is this behind the scenes video. If it is any clue what it is going to be like, I doubt it will be a belly flop. Suddenly, I drew a blank on swimming terminology so that was the best corny joke I could come up with.
Ellen DeGeneres likes to scare people and even got Garth Brooks to scare one of her employees. The host thought it would be fun to do the same to him, but things did not go as planned. As the man who was dressed up as woman jumped out of the ottoman, he slipped on the floor because he was wearing socks with no shoes. Therefore, Brooks was left laughing instead of screaming. And Ellen was left fuming that it did not work out. Oh well, better luck next scare. Which I am sure will be any day now.
You know how they say that couples start to look alike after they have been married for a long time. Well after almost 11 years of marriage, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood could totally be twins. The How Do I Live singer shared this photo of herself and I could have sworn it was her husband when I first saw it.
Why is she dressed as him? She is in costume for the Halloween episode of her show Trisha’s Kitchen that aired on the Food Network earlier today. I hope for the holiday, Brooks goes as her. I think he would be pretty or it could be one of those low places he has friends in.
