Ever since Friends ended, everyone has wanted to see them back together. No matter how much the fans beg for it, the cast and creators say no.
With other shows getting revivals like Will & Grace, Roseanne and Murphy Brown, everyone keeps asking the cast about it. Today, it was Steve Harvey who took the plate and asked Matt LeBlanc if he would do it.
Joey told him, “Me personally, I don’t think so. You have to talk to the writers about it. That show was about a very finite period in your life, when you were like 20 and 30, right in there when your out of school, but your life hasn’t really started yet, your friends are your family, and you are kind of finding your way. When that period is over, it is over. All the characters have gone their separate ways.” Then he added, “I have always have this standard go to joke when people say, ‘We want to see what Joey is doing now?’ I’m like, ‘Nobody wants to see Joey get his colonoscopy.'”
Yes, we do. The episode could be The One When Joey Gets a Colonoscopy. There could also be the episode, The One When Ross Gets Viagra. Or The One When Rachel Get Menopause. Or The One When Chandler Turns 50. Just as they have gotten older, so have their fans. They want to see them in that next stage. Friends like them remain friends for a lifetime. As they get older, they just get closer as life throws them curve balls. We want to see that and laugh with them.
When their residuals start to die down, I am sure they will be back for more. No offense to the cast, but what are they doing now? Jennifer Aniston is doing annoying commercials. LeBlanc is doing that CBS comedy no one watches. And the rest are… They need to do Friends, just like all the other revivals!
I guess he is just bitter because Joey was such a piece of crap. He was the one who got the spinoff and he was the worst choice. Out of all of the characters, his was the least interesting. Maybe because he was so dumb and that a one note joke that did not play well by itself. Or maybe it was the actor who played him. Sorry, I just see LeBlanc playing the same character no matter what he does and that goes back to before he was a friend.
What do you think of the cast being so against doing a reunion or a revival?
Remember that episode of Friends with Bruce Willis and you wondered why he would return to TV to do that show? Yesterday, when he was answering questions for Wired, and he told them why he did the sitcom. He told them, “I was on Friends because I lost a bet to Matthew Perry.” What that bet was, we don’t know. Hopefully it was a good one. As good as their movie The Whole Nine Yards. Am I the only person who loves that movie?
When Jennifer Aniston showed up to Ellen DeGeneres’ party without Justin Theroux this weekend, the rumors that they split started up again. Today the couple told the AP, that split “was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year.” Then they added, “Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly. Whatever else is printed about us that is not directly from us, is someone else’s fictional narrative. Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another.”
Therefore, we can stop guessing if she is pregnant and go back to will she get back together with Brad Pitt.
People says sources told the mag, their busy schedules caused problems in the marriage.
They were married on August 5, 2015, in a small private wedding at their Bel Air home.
Yesterday on The Late Late Show, James Corden played Nuzzle Whaaa with Hailey Baldwin, Matt LeBlanc and William H Macy. The idea of the game is a person is blindfolded and they have to rub their faces against a mystery object. The first person to get it right, wins.
The Friends star and the Shameless one went first and they were totally shameless as they rubbed their faces against some cotton candy and then their own. Good thing they both did/do shows on Showtime because we were getting some Showtime action going on. Then it was time for the CBS host and Stephen Baldwin’s daughter to try to guess a skeleton. They did not.
Finally, all four of them had to try to guess a miniature pony. They were all put in a line, with Baldwin and Macy getting the back end. Talk about a crappy position. The model stepped away, so her partner got the whole tale to himself and I am not even sure if he knew what he was rubbing against. Although, by the looks of his face, he might’ve.
Eventually, with one rub against its tale, Baldwin got the answer and free mini pony to go home with. Macy was also a winner, he got a memory he will never forget.
As we know, there were two sets of couples between the 6 friends on Friends. There was Rachel and Ross, and Monica and Chandler. While one was always meant to be the other was not. The legendary show’s creator David Crane and his partner Jeffrey Klarik told Today that only one them was meant to happen from the beginning. Of course that meant to be couple was Ross and Rachel.
The one that wasn’t. When they were developing the sitcom, they wanted a Janeane Garofalo type for the part of Monica and they wanted her to be with Joey. Then when they cast a softer Courteney Cox in the role, they felt the two did not have “the right energy.” Which is why they went with the better pairing of Monica and Chandler.
Why did the remaining two friends Phoebe and Joey not hook up? David Crane said, “When we even considered it, Monica was with Chandler, that’s too tidy. You can’t, no, stop it.”
What do you think of the pairings that never were? Are you mad they did not happen?
