ABC is loving The Neighbors almost as much as I do because they have asked the show for 3 more scripts per a network rep. The family sitcom is fitting in perfectly after The Middle and before Modern Family on Wednesdays, so I have a feeling that the script order will turn in to them ordering the back 9 episodes. At least I hope they do because this is my favorite new show of the fall season. It is so quirky that it actually works and more importantly it is laugh out loud funny. This is the first show that ABC has shown some interest in while the others (Last Resort, 666 Park Avenue) that have debuted are waiting for word what is next for them.
And over at Fox they ordered nine more episodes of the overrated The Mindy Project and 6 more for Ben & Kate that has the potential of being a good comedy once it finds it way. These two shows join NBC’s Revolution, Go On and The New Normal that were picked up for a full season last week.
So if you are keeping a score card that is 5 pick ups, 1 script order and 0 cancellations. Hopefully a show will get the axe very soon.
Fox’s Animation Domination is back and The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Family and American Guy are ready to dominate.
At 8p The Simpson are going to back NY and the city will be never be the same. Bart has a crush on a girl that leaves him to move to The Big Apple and he begs his parents to go. After much convincing they decide to go to reunite the young lovers. While Bart looks for her, the rest of the family decides to take in the sites and Home is reunited with someone from his past. Can you guess who?
Tonight at 8:30p Bob’s Burgers is back and they are now serving to a whole new clientele, a motorcycle gang. As much as Bob wants them out, they are here to stay. Unlike Louise’s pink bunny ears that are stolen off of her by an older bully. She will do anything to get them back, but when she gets some sad news she will have to find a new identity. What will she look like without her favorite hat?
Them at 9p on Family Guy Lois runs into an ex-boyfriend and she drags Peter with her to a dinner with him and his wife. While they are there, her ex has the perfect life and the couple tell The Griffins they are going to Mount Everest. Not to be outdone by them, Peter says his family is going there too. Now both families are in race to get to the top of the mountain. Getting up might be easier than getting down and because of that The Griffins will do the unthinkable. Think you know what that is?
Finally at 9:30p American Dad the fat lady sings to end the night. Rogers overhears Hayley singing in the shower and he asks her to sing at his lounge. Between her voice and her sexy clothes, he develops a crush on her. Now that he has eyes for her, he will do anything, and I do mean anything to get her to be his main squeeze. Will they be Fox’s hot new couple? You will have to tune into find out. If that is not enough of a reason Rachel MacFarlane’s singing voice is!
Fox is moving Take Me Out from it’s Thursday slot to the dreaded Saturday night after this week according to The Futon Critic. Can I say the news is a surprise? Not really because it just wasn’t that good. The guys were not up to par for the women and there was just nothing to it. Bring a guy out, have the women say if they are interested or not just by his entrance. If the girls are still interested; then you watch a video where he describes himself and he always a says a deal breaker. Next up is his special talent and that is when the numbers drop to such a small amount, he then says who he wants to date. Besides the crappy premise there were too many women and you didn’t get to know them and why tfoxhe guy chose one for his match. Seriously did they need 30 women? Guess not.
Fox is all about finding love tonight, in a way only this network can.
At 8p Take Me Out has 30 women vying for one man. When he walks out, we find out if it is love at first sight for them. If there is, then they keep their light on. If not he has to talk about himself and they decide if he is still for them. If there is still at least 2 woman who are interested then we get to know a little more about him. Finally if there is more than woman who has her light on for him, then he decides who he wants to go on a date with. Then they are off and the following week they will talk about how it went. I know that kind sounds of boring, but the women look like the should be on Jersey Shore and the guys are duds. There are two guys who go him with no dates and when you watch the show, you will totally see why. It is like where did they find those losers for these women.
If you haven’t enough cheesy love for the night then you must must must watch The Choice. It is the best thing to happen to television since Dance Moms. Four celebrities will be sitting in chairs and a woman will come out and tell them why she should choose her. If they like what they hear, they turn around. If not, oh well. Once they turn around, she decides which of the ones that chose her she wants. After each of the celebs has three possible dates, then they go to a speed round and one of the potential lovers is eliminated. Then there were two and now they have to answer the same question poised from the star. Once they are done the actor picks who they are going home with.
During tonight’s season premiere Jason Cook, Romeo, Pauly D and Jeremy Bloom all duke it to go on date. The best moment comes when after the guys turn around a contestant says she is a virgin and one of them wants to turn around again.
This show is so fast paced and fun and cheesy, that I absolutely love it. It was even better than I thought it would be and let’s be real, we all knew it was going to be all kinds of awesome. So make sure to watch it because this is what reality television is all about.
Fox announced their new fall schedule and they moved some things around. Glee is moving to Thursday after The X Factor and American Idol and Touch will be moving to Fridays before the final season Fringe. Like Touch, Fox’s biggest show Teh Following with Kevin Bacon will not make its debut until next year. Talking about big names, Glee is back to using them because Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson will be guest starring on the show next season. That makes me want to watch less rather than more. When it comes to the rest of Fox’s new shows, I just don’t get the Mindy Kaling obsession. At least Raising Hope is back in even though Gordon Ramsey is getting the season off.
