Did you know that some McDonald’s still sells birthday cakes?
June 15th, 2021 under Fast Food. [ Comments: none ]

I am old enough to remember when kids used to have their birthday parties at McDonald’s. I used to look forward to eating that sugary sheet cake. I assumed that was something that only lives in yesteryear like the McDLT. However, like the McRib, they are secretly back at some McDonald’s, according to Kayleigh Weeks.

Unfortunately, there is no way to know which Mickey D’s has it. I called a few to get one for my friend who has a milestone birthday today. So far, I can’t find one of the $9 cakes. So if anyone knows a McDonald’s that is selling one in the Burbank, California area, let me know. I would love to surprise him with one.

The Burger King gets a dose of his own medicine

I don’t know about you, but The Burger King gives me nightmares. I always wish he could get a taste of his own medicine.

Well, now he is getting it. And believe it or not, it did not come from McDonald’s. Instead, it comes from his own backyard. That’s right, Burger King got into the chicken sandwich race, and some people are saying the Ch’King is better than the Whopper. That is a real whopper to his ego.

Guess where I am going for lunch today? I am going to BK to get that sandwich just to give him more nightmares. He deserves it.

Oh, and they are giving a free Whopper if you order the chicken sandwich on the app! Cha-ching, Ch’King!

The McDonalds’ BTS meal is finally here!

Today is the day that the BTS Army has been waiting for. The band’s meal is now available at McDonald’s for them to devour.

What is in it? It includes 10 piece Chicken McNuggets, a Coke, medium fries, and 2 exclusive sauces picked by BTS: Sweet Chili sauce and Cajun. The only thing it is missing is Butter.

However, you can listen to their newest hit while you eat the fries and think about the seven of them sitting next to and across from you. Yeah, you got that yummy-yum. That yummy-yum, that yummy-yummy. Whoops, I got my teen idols confused.

Would you eat lasagna stuffed with macaroni and cheese?
April 22nd, 2021 under Fast Food. [ Comments: none ]

There is a trend where companies combine different foods together. Stouffers is jumping on the bandwagon now, and this summer, they are releasing LasagnaMac for a limited time. It is their meat lasagna with a layer of macaroni and cheese.

“Bringing together two of our best-selling products is a simple way to express the intent of our new marketing campaign, Happyfull,” said Megan McLaughlin, brand marketing manager, STOUFFER’S. “We worked to create a recipe that will make our fans feel both happy and full. LasagnaMac is a great example of how our innovation is anchored in consumer obsession – and not to mention, it’s incredibly delicious.”

I can’t wait to see what they do next. I am hoping for Sh!t on Shingle Pizza or Swedish Stuffed Peppers. What combinations do you want to see?

McDonald’s has teamed up with BTS to release a meal in honor of the K-Pop band. Their happy meal includes 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium World Famous Fries, medium Coke, and Sweet Chili and Cajun dipping sauces that are popular in South Korea.

“BTS truly lights up the world stage, uniting people across the globe through their music,” said Morgan Flatley, Chief Marketing Officer, McDonald’s USA. “We’re excited to bring customers even closer to their beloved band in a way only McDonald’s can – through our delicious food – when we introduce the BTS signature order on our menu next month.”

Whether you are a member of the BTS Army or not, this sounds like the perfect meal for the summer. Good thing it comes out on May 26th.
