Before Don Johnson was putting people in prison on Miami Vice, he was locked up in Fortune and the Men’s Eyes. He looks the same now as he did when he was 19 in that 1969 short.

Before Don Johnson had a long list of credits on camera, he got his start in The Magic Garden of Stanley Sweetheart. How sexy was the 19-year-old in that 1970 movie?

Before Jimmy Smits was partnered with Dennis Franz on NYPD Blue, he was Don Johnson’s first partner on Miami Vice. Don’t you just love the 29-year-old’s smile before he was blown the smithereens in that 1984 episode?
Don Johnson was on This Morning this morning and Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield started talking to him about Miami Vice. Then they wanted to know if he would ever do it again.
When he responded, his voice got higher and he said, “We are kicking around some thoughts. Yeah.” Then he added, “Amazingly enough, it has come back around. And it seems like they have run out of ideas for good shows. So they’re going to the well.”
Would he put on the pastel suits again? He got all coy and said “maybe”, but we can all tell it is a yes. Is it a done deal? He says, “There is a lot of water left to row.” If I remember correctly, they always rode in motorboats which meant they did not do a lot of rowing. Thus, what is this rowing he is talking about?
He is not really sure where Sonny Crockett would be, but he says he is an experienced man.
The one question they did not ask him is if Philip Michael Thomas would be back as Ricardo Tubbs. You can’t have Miami Vice without him. Can you?
Would you watch Miami Vice if they brought it back?
Back in the ’80s, Miami Vice was the show that Rockstars wanted to be on. Names like Sheena Easton, James Brown, Phil Collins, Willie Nelson, El Debarge and Gene Simmons got to try out their acting chops alongside Don Johnson. Back then Jon Bon Jovi was still a few years from acting, so he never appeared on the show.
That was then, yesterday Don and Jon hung out together and we got a glimpse of what it would have been like if Sonny Crockett was on the case to arrest bad guy Bon Jovi. What, you think he would have been a good guy. This is our wet dream and we all like bad boys!
