Tonight at 9p on NBC, we get 2 new episodes of Chicago Fire. Both are very emotional for everyone .
In the first episode, they go to a car accident and Casey (Jesse Spencer) notices that the wife has bruises that are not from the accident. Casey and the doctors at Chicago Med do everything to get her away from her husband, but she refuses. Casey tells the chief (Eamonn Walker) he wants to her help her, but Boden tells him to leave it to Chicago PD. Do you think he is going to listen? Will he be able to get her out before it is too late.
Talking about relationships, Bret (Kara Killmer) is wondering how she really feels about Gabby’s (Monica Raymund) brother, but a pregnancy test will help her make a decision.
Finally, Otis’ (Yuri Sardarov) business is taking off and Hermann (David Eigenberg) wants to make it even bigger. Which is a good thing because Otis needs the money.
With that, it is time to talk about the 10p episode. While Otis and Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) are battling a house fire, they get shot at. As much as the guys want to go in to save them, the chief won’t let them. Especially since there is no shooter and it loose ammo that belongs to the son. Severide (Taylor Kinney) doesn’t listen to the chief and goes inside. The chief is not happy about this, but he just wanted to save his friend.
Otis, who has been shot in the neck, is taken to the hospital and it is going to be touch and go because of his other health issues. Will Chicago Med be able to save him?
Get the tissues ready for two very emotional well done episodes.

Tonight at 8p on Fox, The X-Files does their take on It. A young boy goes missing in a small town in Connecticut and then his body is found in the woods. Because his father is a cop, Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Mulder (David Duchovny) are called into investigate. The locals thinks it is an open and shut case because they think an animal did it, but Fox knows it is something more.
He is right because the kids favorite television characters are showing up and they are killing them. But why? Wait until you see the first creepy character, he has been giving me nightmares for days. He makes Pennywise look lovable. It really something you don’t want to miss out on.

Tomorrow night Chicago Fire celebrates its 100th episode at 10p, but the celebration begins tonight on 10p on NBC with Chicago PD. Platt (Amy Morton) is being interviewed live at a local new station at the same time someone decides to blow it up. She is knocked out, but she survives. She tries to help the few survivors there are until Chicago PD and Chicago Fire to help even more.
Once everyone is out, Chicago PD gets their first lead. As they call him out to him, someone put a bomb in his mailbox and it goes off. He is OK and now he is a suspect for the bombings. There’s only one problem, another bomb goes off. Now, Chicago is on high alert and it is all hands on deck to find this person before they kill again.
That is when Voight (Jason Beghe) asks the Chief (Eamonn Walker) if he can use Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Brett (Kara Killmer) to help him distract a suspect in his house so that can put something on his computer. He refuses because he does not want to put them in danger. But you know these ladies will do anything for the job.
That is where tonight’s episode ends and tomorrow night’s begin. And that is when things really get explosive, so you do not want to miss the two-night crossover.

Last week, This Is Us revealed that Kate (Chrissy Metz) suffered a miscarriage and tonight at 9p on NBC, she and Toby (Chris Sullivan) deal with the news in different ways.
Kate chooses to stay busy and go on with her life, but is she really ready to do that? She isn’t and it is causing her to slowly break down. Meanwhile, Toby is taking it really hard and wants to talk to his fiance’ about it. Since they are both handling it differently, it is taking a toll on their relationship. Can their love survive this?
One thing Kate has that Toby doesn’t, is her mom. Rebecca (Mandy Moore) also lost a child and she shares with her daughter and us what she went through for the first time. Making her the most understanding and caring mom on television. She always seems to know what to say at the right time. Although, Kate is not always willing to listen. We will see that when we flash back to the night that Kevin broke his leg when she was a teen. The mom and daughter go throw that typical teenage angst as they wait to find out how Kevin is.
This Is Us delivers another powerful episode as we learn more about Number Two aka Kate.

Then at 10p, Chicago Med is back and it picks up where it left off. Dr Charles (Oliver Platt) is bleeding out after being shot outside the hospital and it does not look like he is going to make it. Will he? It is an intense episode you do not want to miss.
Can I tell you how happy I am that this medical drama is back? It keeps getting better.
Matt C noticed in the promo for the season finale of the anthology series Law & Order: True Crime, NBC referred to it as the series finale twice. Since it was supposed to be an anthology series, they could be referring to the case. But then again, the show did OK after This Is Us, and fans of Chicago Fire and Chicago Med (like me) are pissed the former has a new night and we had to wait for the latter.
But here is the biggest problem, The Menendez Murders are not worth 8 hours of television. They are barely worth the 2 hour telemovies they have gotten in the past. It is not NBC’s fault, it did OK when the real case was airing. But it was no OJ. There are not many cases that can keep a viewers interest for 8 hours these days.
It was nice try, trying to copy Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story. But even he is going to hit the wall big time with the Versace murder. That story is barely even a telemovie.

NBC’s night starts off at 8p with Superstore and it will steal your attention. Jonah (Ben Feldman) walks in on a man robbing the store’s backroom of money and does nothing about it. As the crook is running away, Dina (Lauren Ash) tramples him and he is arrested. She thinks she did a good thing until the Jeff (Michael Bunin) the district managers says she did the wrong thing and Jonah did the right one. That causes tension between the two. Even more so, when Jonah tells Jeff that Dina has been bullying him. Jeff writes up Dina and she challenges Jonah to fight. Who wins? Let’s just say one person comes up on top!

Then at 8:30p, it is unethical how good The Good Place is tonight. Chidi (William Jackson Harper) is teaching Michael (Ted Danson) ethics. Something that is very hard to do when the student is an evil demon. Feels like it will never happen until Michael comes up with a solution. He decides that they should live the ethical problems that Chidi has been giving him to study. Like what happens if are driving a runaway trolley and you can switch tracks, would you stay on the track with 5 workers or the one with only one person on it. What if you knew that one person? And so on. Therefore, Michael puts Chidi and Eleanor (Kristen Bell) on the track in that trolley and now that have to make that decision as we do the unethical thing and laugh until we hurt. They go through several scenarios each funnier than the last. However, is it enough to teach Michael to be ethical?
Talking about lessons, Janet (D’Arcy Carden) is learning how to be a therapist so that she can help Jason (Manny Jacinto) and Tahini’s (Jameela Jamil) relationship work. Even though it is working, there are consequences for Janet. Huge problems.
Make sure to record this episode because you are going to want to rewatch it several times.

Talking about an episode you will want to keep on your DVR, you are not going to want to erase tonight’s Will & Grace at 9p. There is a knock on Will’s (Eric McCormack) door and it will forever change Jack’s (Sean Hayes) life. A young boy tells Jack, he is Elliott’s (Michael Angarano) son. In case you forgot, Elliott is Jack’s son, so that means Jack is a grandfather. Let that sink in! That is all I am going to tell you about the episode because I want you to enjoy it as much as I did. Because after all, Jack is a grandfather!

NBC closes the night with Great News at 9:30p and Chicago Fire at 10p. On the latter Gabby (Monica Raymund) is out picking up a gift for her husband, when she notices that construction above an underground parking lot is causing it to collapse. She runs inside to warn the people what is about to happen, and then it happens. The lot collapses on top of her and several other people. Now they are in a race against time to get out of there if they want to get out alive. Only problem is is there no way out, no one can hear them and carbon monoxide is starting to pollute the limited air they have. Will they be able to get out of there alive or will they be crushed by all of the concrete above them? You don’t want to miss a single second of this thrilling episode that feels like a throwback to the disaster movies from the ’70s.
