The last few DC Comics movies have been universally panned by critics and fans, so Warner Bros and Ben Affleck are making some changes to his Batman movie. Affleck will still star in it as Bruce Wayne and be a co-writer of the film, but he is no longer directing. In a statement, he explained why he stepped down.
“There are certain characters who hold a special place in the hearts of millions. Performing this role demands focus, passion and the very best performance I can give. It has become clear that I cannot do both jobs to the level they require. Together with the studio, I have decided to find a partner in a director who will collaborate with me on this massive film. I am still in this, and we are making it, but we are currently looking for a director. I remain extremely committed to this project, and look forward to bringing this to life for fans around the world.”
I would say it is a loss if I had any intentions of seeing it, but I don’t. I don’t like how dark these movies have become, so when they lighten up I will be back there to see them. Til then, I will stick with Lego Batman!
NBC breathed life into Constantine, only to squash it. Then The CW gave him life for a night and they realized that people still wanted to see him live and help other people live. Therefore, they resurrecting him from the dead. In fact, you can say they are re-animating him. Actually, they are animating him.
Yesterday at The CW’s TCA Winter Press Day Mark Pedowitz, President of the network announced that, “Constantine is back as a new animated series for the CW Seed platform. It is from DC Comics, team (Greg) Berlanti and David S. Goyer and, of course, will feature star Matt Ryan as John Constantine.” Then he added, “Like our other animated CW Seed animated series, Vixen and”The Ray, we’ll have about five or six episodes that are about ten minutes each, premiering in the ’17 ’18 season.” That’s right, Ryan will reprise the role of the lovable anti-hero.
As of now that is all they know, but we know it is a magical thing to have him back in whatever way we can.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCzrb-K6JrQ The CW started off their TCA press day announcing that they picked up 7 other their shows for next season. They are Supergirl, Jane the Virgin, The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Supernatural and Crazy Ex Girlfriend. Yes, the last one the list is not doing well in the ratings, but it is one of the most original shows on television today. Creatively they have lost their way this season, but it is still enjoyable. Just like Supernatural that is going into their lucky 13th season. Yes, 13! I hope the producers play with that. How fun will that be?
Waiting to get picked up are Frequency, No Tomorrow, The 100, iZombie, Riverdale and The Originals with the latter 4 yet to air any new episodes this season. Definitely not coming back are The Vampire Diaries and Reign will be ending their, well, reigns their season.
How do you feel about the pick ups and which ones do you want to get renewed? I am rooting for iZombie because this is the best show you are not watching!
Lynda Carter and Fergie welcomed in the New Year together remembering some old times together. As in singing Bob Seger’s Old Time Rock’n’Roll together at NYE bash in Hawaii to raise money for Maui Food Bank.
Those two sexy empowering women need to go on tour together because they are hot hot hot together. Even Bob Seger was getting it up like it was Old Time Rock’n’Roll. Tom Cruise did his slide listening to it and crashed into the wall because he was so excited about it. It made London Bridges go down all over the World! It made men do the Wonder Woman spin over and over! Yeah, that WonderWomanFul!
Seriously, doesn’t Carter age backwards?

Two weeks from tonight begins the largest crossover in TV history since…probably ever. Even though Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow all exist in the DC Comics universe, as we know they don’t all exist in the same universe in their stories. How they are going to get Supergirl to fly over to Barry Allen, Oliver Queen and the Legends’ world will be interesting to see. Well that is just one of the many exciting things we can expect from The CW’s 4 night event, Heroes vs Aliens, that starts on November 28th.
Next year there will be another 4-way crossover event, but over on NBC as the 4 Chicago shows combine as one.
