Remember during this year’s E!’s Red Carpet coverage of the Golden Globes, they were doing Fun Facts. One of the Fun Facts they aired was the year when Michael J Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Which is not really a Fun Fact.
Well the Back to the Future star has pretty much been quiet about the incident, that is until now. David Letterman asked him about it on The Late Show tonight at 11:35p on CBS. Michael P Keaton said he didn’t know know anything about it until after the Awards show. His publicist saw it when it aired, and called them immediately. Well E! realized their mistake and sent him an apology letter with a box full of Gummy Candies. Being the stand up guy that he is, he told E! he was OK with it and didn’t take offense to it. He also let them know, “Fun Fact: I like Gummies!”
I love that he had better sense of humor about it, than, well, me! Just another reason why he is so lovable.

Stephen Colbert asks David Letterman if he’s getting paid for The Late Show! |

Stephen Colbert was on The Late Show yesterday and he talked to David Letterman about him taking over the CBS late night show sometime next year. Even though the Comedy Central host asked when Letterman’s last day is, Dave didn’t have an answer for him. So Colbert’s family will be stuck with him for longer than they hoped, according to him.
While that question wasn’t answered, Stephen did find out he will get paid for this job unlike the first one Letterman’s then NBC late night show offered him. You see back in 1986, Colbert went with his now-ex-girlfriend to interview she had for an internship at Late Night and he’s the one that got the job and she didn’t. He then turned it down because he realized that interns don’t get paid money. So he wanted to make sure that this time around he would get more than college credit. And he does!
The two men talked about a whole lot of stuff. The biggest thing I took away from it, is that Stephen Colbert is going to be an excellent replacement whenever he takes over the show in 2015.
I am sad to see Letterman go after all of this time, but I know the show is being given to someone who is the perfect fit for it. As we witnessed from his 1997 Top Ten List that he read on the show last night. That time around Colbert didn’t get the writing job on The Late Show he applied for back then. Instead he wound up with Strangers with Candy. Who knows what would’ve happened if he had taken that internship or he’d gotten the writing job? Maybe we wouldn’t be saying The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in about a year. See everything happens for a reason and that reason was to give us a suitable replacement to the man who changed late night forever.

Oprah Winfrey made Lindsay Lohan cry on David Letterman |

Lindsay Lohan is a guest on The Late Show tonight and David Letterman said they should call her boss Oprah Winfrey. Even though the actress protested, the retiring CBS late night host called her. At first he disguised his voice, but eventually he let her know it was him on the phone. Then he asked Lady O how Lindsay was doing and she said she was doing OK. Then she added, “I think, you know, to have cameras around, following you around everywhere, through every phase of your life, when you are trying to pull your life together. I think that is a really difficult thing.” It was those words that brought tears to Lohan’s eyes, showing that it is really hard on her and having someone defend her is really what she needed.
But before it got too emotional, Dave does what he does best and made her laugh.
That is probably the realist we have seen Lohan and I hope we see more of it.

Yesterday on The Late Show, David Letterman shared a photo of Billy Crystal and Jack Nicholson kissing at a Lakers game, so do the two Oscar staples have something to tell us? Nope. They were caught by the Kiss Cam, and decided to give the fans what they wanted! Even though there is nothing between them, for a second it was fun to think they scored a slam dunk together!

Earlier in the week, Johnny Depp confirmed his engagement by showing off the diamond ring he is wearing on that finger. People wanted to know why one of Hollywood’s most wanted actors would being doing that. So yesterday when he was on The Late Show, David Letterman asked him about it. Captain Jack Sparrow explained that the ring he bought for Amber Heard was too big for her but the perfect size for him. So he kept the original one, wears it on his hand and bought her a new one to wear on her’s.
Whatever the reason, I think more men should proudly wear diamond engagement rings like him. What do you think?
