Danny DeVito recently made his Broadway debut in The Price. Not only did he get a Tony nomination for his performance, he also got some special people to see him starring it in. Louie DePalma told Seth Meyers on Late Night yesterday that Barack Obama and Malia attended one of the show’s previews. During the intermission, the actor went into the room where the former President and his daughter were sitting and offered them each a nut ball. Since Malia is allergic to nuts, the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star told the NBC host, “I gave him both balls!” No word if Obama put his nuts in his mouth.
And talking about the Twins’ star’s balls, I can’t stop picturing them bouncing as he jumps up and down naked on the mini-trampoline as he preps to go on stage. That image will forever be stuck in my head and now it is stuck in yours. Bounce, bounce, bounce. Look at those nut balls bounce.
Taxi is my all time favorite show, so whenever I see any of the actors anywhere it brings a massive smile to my face. Imagine how happy I was when I saw that Reverend Jim and Louie DePalma were hanging out like they were best of friends. Not the mean boss, who couldn’t stop picking on his lovable druggie cab driver.
Why Christopher Lloyd and Danny DeVito were hanging out, I don’t know. In fact, I don’t care. But I think it is time for a Taxi reunion because this show is the funniest and wittiest sitcom to ever grace out televisions. I have seen each episode over 100 times and I still laugh as hard each time I watch it. So brilliant and ahead of its time.
Danny DeVito was on The Tonight Show yesterday and Jimmy Fallon challenged him to a game of Inflatable Flip Cup. Basically the two men wore inflatable suits, downed a cup of beer and then flipped over the cup. The first player to successfully do that with all of the cups won the game.
That is the boring part. The fun part is that the two men look like Violet Beauregarde when she chewed on on Willy Wonka’s 3-Course Gum in his Chocolate Factory. It appears that the NBC late host got the blueberry pie and the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia patriarch got the cherry one. Don’t they look like they are waiting for the Oompa Loompas to take them to the juicing room and be squeezed before they explode? Although, by the looks of Devito’s expression, it looks like he already exploded!
Before Danny DeVito was Romancing the Stone, he was blowing up a big stone in Hot Dogs for Gaugin. He looks the same now as he did when he was 27 in that 1972 student film.
The three creators, producers and actors of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia were guests on Conan tonight and Charlie Day shared a behind the scenes video of Danny DeVito and him. The Taxi star came to work in black boxers for a nearly nude scene, but they wanted him in tighty whities. So DeVito told them if you want me in them, then you are going to have to put me in them. Well that is exactly what Day it and he shared that video on the TBS late night show!
I have loved Devito since I was a little kid, and that is an image I never needed to have. But I did enjoy seeing it.
