Taylor Swift is coming to Dancing with the Stars

Swifties, get your Boogie shoes on because Dancing with the Stars is going to have a night dedicated to your favorite singer, and it is going to be one for the eras.

Peta Murgatroyd accidentally let it slip to Billboard on Monday night that the dancing competition is having a Taylor Swift night this season. But she didn’t say when.

I bet all the pros are trying their hardest to claim Love Story because that is the best tune for Ballroom dancing. But I would fight for Shake It Off because it is my favorite song of hers and so much fun to dance with.

Who do you want to dance to what song?

Jason Mraz reveals why he decided to do Dancing with the Stars
October 3rd, 2023 under Dancing with the Stars, Jason Mraz. [ Comments: none ]

When I saw that Jason Mraz decided to do Dancing with the Stars, I was a little perplexed. I know he sings about dancing and roller skates, but he doesn’t seem like the type to do a television dancing competition show.

So, why did the singer do it? He posted a video walking to the set and said, “I am wearing my avocado shirt to remind me why I am doing this, Dancing with the Stars, to help pay for my water bill.”

Did you know that Chipotle buys his avocados to make their guacamole? Even though they pay, and his music pays, it is enough to pay for water. And here I thought water was free.

When it comes to his bill, it looks like he will be able to pay it for the next couple of months. That is because he has been placing near the top or on the top of the leaderboard each week. I don’t want to jinx it, but I think he will be around for the finals. Unlike Jamie Lynn Spears, who was eliminated tonight.

Artem Chigvintsev is out of Dancing with the Stars tonight
October 3rd, 2023 under Coronavirus, Dancing with the Stars. [ Comments: none ]

Artem Chigvintsev is out, and Ezra Sosa is in tonight on Dancing with Stars. The dancing competition show announced today that “Artem will not be dancing tonight due to COVID. Wishing him a quick recovery! ❤️ Charity will perform with Ezra for #LatinNight.”

His partner, Charity Lawson, wrote, “a duo if you ever seen what! Grateful for @ezra.sosa stepping in and getting the job done!!! Don’t miss tonight and make sure to VOTE for me!”

Luckily for Lawson, The Bachelorette taught her how to change up men at the drop of a hat.

Hopefully, Chigvintsev will be better soon and back dancing next week since we know that couple is not going anywhere until the finals.

Dancing with the Stars might be postponed due to the strike
September 21st, 2023 under Dancing with the Stars. [ Comments: none ]

(ABC/Andrew Eccles)

The new season of Dancing with the Stars is supposed to debut on ABC this Tuesday, but it might not happen. That is because the show employs a Writers Guild of America writer, and the striking writers and actors are picketing the rehearsals.

As of today, Matt Walsh, who is a member of both unions, told Deadline he is pausing his involvement with the dancing competition “until an agreement is made with the WGA.

“I was excited to join the show and did so under the impression that it was not a WGA show and fell under a different agreement.

“This morning when I was informed by my union, the WGA, that it is considered struck work I walked out of my rehearsal. I have been and will always stand with my union members of the WGA, SAG and DGA.

“Beyond our union artists, I am sensitive to the many people impacted by the strike and I hope for a speedy and fair resolution, and to one day work again with all the wonderful people I met at DWTS who tolerated my dancing.”

Walsh is the first star to drop out. Will Mira Sorvino, Alyson Hannigan, Barry Williams, Xochitl Gomez, and Jamie Lynn Spears follow his dancing shoes out of the ballroom. The latter told GMA that she plans on donating her paycheck to the striking workers. So she might stay.

That is if the show will go on because Deadline says that ABC is considering postponing the series until the WGA strike is resolved. SAG already cleared the actors to dance.

There are reports that negotiations seemed to go well yesterday between the AMPTP and WGA. So maybe the strike will be over by Tuesday, and the show will go on.

And if it does. The winner will be receiving the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. “The Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy will now be lifted on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ like the Vince Lombardi trophy is lifted at the Super Bowl,” DWTS EP Conrad Green told USA Today. “We wanted to make Len a permanent part of this show, to always remind people the importance he’s had to ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and how much he meant to all of us.”

Goodman passed away in April.

UPDATE: SAG-AFTRA sent out a press release saying that their members are contractually obligated to do Dancing with the Stars. To see what they said, then click here!

The Dancing with the Stars ‘stars’ are…
September 13th, 2023 under Dancing with the Stars, How I Met Your Mother, Jason Mraz, The Brady Bunch. [ Comments: none ]

I don’t know about you, but I was thinking that Dancing with the Stars was going to get some big names this season because of the strikes because of all of the actors who desperately need a paycheck. And I was wrong.

It is the same thing as most years: a bunch of who are yous? I mean, I am rooting for Jason Mraz because he makes me laugh on TikTok, and I love his music. But besides him and Barry Williams, aka Greg Brady, I don’t really care about all of the reality stars they have the competition. Well, I can’t wait to see how Mira Sorvino incorporates her Romy and Michelle dance into one of the nights.

But other than that, I will be wishing my junior high school alum Alfonso Ribeiro, good luck hosting the biggest dancing competition show in the US.

The “Stars” put on their dancing shows starting on September 29th on ABC.
