Sara Rue was on CBS’s The Late Late Show yesterday and she told Craig Ferguson that she is afraid of teenagers. And the new mom wasn’t kidding, she is really terrified of them. She is in deep sh!t in 13 years when Talulah becomes one. What is she going to do when her daughter brings her friends over to play? What if Talulah wants to have a sleep over? She will be f*cked!
But in all fairness I think every parent is afraid of their teenage kid, as they should be. I know what a terror I was.
So when Craig Ferguson renewed his contract for The Late Late Show, he asked for a new studio because he had so many problems with it. Not only was it too small, but the roof was constantly leaking and the power went out a few times. So CBS agreed to his demand and moved him to a new stage last year. Well since he took over the new studio back in August, he already had to do the show without power back in November. And tonight he had to do it with the audience sitting on the stage because a leak from the air conditioner made their section unsafe to sit in.
So either he has no luck at CBS TV City or he is being haunted by one of the people who used to do their shows there like George Burns, Dinah Shore, Sonny Bono, Merv Griffin, Mike Douglas, Ray Combs or maybe Allen Ludden because Craig does have his wife Betty White on the show all the time?
If I were Craig, I would ask to move out of that building when his contract is up next time because he is either cursed or the studios are too old for his needs.
Robin Wright is a guest on The Late Late Show tonight at 12:37a on CBS and Craig Ferguson asked her if she is in therapy. She told him that she has been going for years, but it has been working. So he asked her if he could play her therapist and thus started to ask her questions like a psychiatrist. He asked if cutting her hair was “indicative of some emotional turmoil?”, which makes sense since she finally split with Sean Penn. Then she responded by saying, “Sexual identity crisis, I don’t know.” Then he had to know, “I see. Have you been experimenting with non-routine sexual behavior for you?” And then it gets really weird.
That’s the thing about Craig, you never know where he is going to take an interview and he definitely took this one to a whole new place.
So remember last year when Zac Efron was walking the orange carpet for The Lorax premiere and a condom fell out of his pocket? Well Craig Ferguson asked him about it on The Late Late Show tonight and we found out why he had the rubber in his pants. Basically he didn’t change his slacks from the night before and that’s why it was in there. So not only was he embarrassed that a prophylactic fell out before the premiere of the kids movie he was starring in, we also found out he didn’t get any the night beforehand.
BTW I also loved the CBS host’s reaction when he found out more details about the incident. One of the rare times that Craig not doing his research made him regret what he just asked.
Rob Lowe is a guest on The Late Late Show tonight at 12:37a and Craig Ferguson realized that he actually had seen the Youngblood star before, like way before. Back in the ’80s the CBS host was working as a doorman at a late night club in Manhattan called Save the Robots, and Lowe came to check out the club. The Brat Pack leader was so intrigued by Ferguson’s old job that he had to know more. So Lowe asked, “Who was the biggest a$$hole to ever come into Save the Robots?” Craig said he couldn’t tell him, but Lowe insisted before he realized that he was the person he so wanted to know about. And boy was Rob literally embarrassed, but I think Craig was just playing with him because I doubt a man with those eyes could ever be an a-hole!
