Happy, happy, joy, joy, Ren & Stimpy are back!
August 5th, 2020 under Comedy Central. [ Comments: none ]

Recently, Comedy Central announced that they are bringing back Beavis & Butthead and Clone High, and adding it to their lineup. Today, they announced that they are adding another reimagination to their schedule, and it is Ren & Stimpy. Happy, happy, joy, joy.

The three animated series join Jodie, a spinoff of Daria. All of these retro reinventions make me wonder what year it is. Not that I am complaining, I am just curious.

It will be interesting to see if these shows that are being considered adult animation will be more adult now that they are on Comedy Central. I hope so because we grew up and so should they!

With all the Viacom cartoons that they are reimagining, which show do you want to see them do next? I am bummed that Freakazoid in Warner Bros because that one was my favorite.

Yeah, yeah, Beavis and Butt-Head, he-he, is coming back with new episodes, he-he!
July 1st, 2020 under Comedy Central. [ Comments: 2 ]

2020, he-he, has sucked balls, but not anymore. Comedy Central, they don’t suck, just announced, he-he, that they picked up hey, Beavis, and, hey, Butt-Head, for two more seasons. If that is not enough, fire, he-he, fire, he-he, for you, we can also expect to get spinoffs and specials from the ’90s animated duo, he-he.

Hey, Mike Judge, who created the show, will write and produce the show along with voicing the characters. Why is he bringing it back? “It seemed like the time was right to get stupid again,” said Judge, he-he.

Beavis and Butt-Head aired on MTV from 1992-1997 with a one-season revival in 2011. They also had a feature-length film in 1996 called Beavis and Butt-Head Do America.

On that note, now that he is bringing back his babies, maybe he will consider giving us a sequel to Office Space without Jennifer Aniston. Beavis says, “She’s hot.” Butt-Head replies, “For a grandmother.:” Beavis concurs, “Yeah, yeah. I like grandmas.” Butt-head turns to him and says, “Hey Beavis, you’re sick.” They both laugh in their special way and scene.

Viacom’s powerful tribute to George Floyd
June 2nd, 2020 under Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, VH1/MTV. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMtoZgY2BQM
Yesterday at 5p, for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, several Viacom stations, including Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, BET, and MTV went black. That is the amount of the time that the murdering police officer had his knee on George Floyd’s neck. As Floyd’s life was leaving his body, he screamed, “I can’t breathe.”

Those three words were written on the black screen as we listened to someone struggling to breathe for that amount of time. Sit and listen to each breath, and let your anger take over you. That is why we peacefully protesting in the streets. That is why we are saying never again. This needs to stop. No one deserves to die like that, and no one ever should again.

Floyd’s voice was silenced, ours will speak louder for him. This needs to end now. Let’s work on a solution so that Floyd’s, and all of the innocent people who were murdered by bad cops, deaths were not in vain.

We are all people who bleed red, and we need to stop judging people by their skin color. We need to judge them for who they are as individuals.

Reno 911 is back on duty
December 6th, 2019 under Cedric Yarbrough, Comedy Central, Niecy Nash, Thomas Lennon. [ Comments: none ]

Comedy Central announced today that Quibi picked up Reno 911 for a seventh season, 10 years after the show ended its run. Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Thomas Lennon will all write and star in the series but what about the rest of the original cast like Cedric Yarbrough and Niecy Nash? Wendi McLendon-Covey, who is also original, wrote that “the whole original cast will be involved.”

The Goldbergs actress also says she thinks the show will return in April. Since she and Yarbrough (Carol’s Second Act) are both currently working on broadcast sitcoms, I wonder how they will have the time to film new episodes. We will find out soon enough, along with all the other details.

While I never got into the show, I know so many people who are so excited about it coming back. Are you one of them?

BTWF: Bernie Sanders on Bernie Speaks with the Community
May 9th, 2019 under Before They Were Famous, Comedy Central, Politics, Trevor Noah. [ Comments: none ]

Before Bernie Sanders was running for President of the United States, he was the mayor of Burlington, Vermont hosting a public access show called Bernie Speaks with the Community. As Trevor Noah said, he looks the same now as he did when he was 46 in those 1987 episodes.

Now, let’s talk about how Trevor Noah reviewed these episodes on The Daily Show yesterday. I have not laughed that hard in a really long time. However, I do not know if I was laughing with Noah, at Bernie or with both. All I know is it what I needed!!!
