A Stand By Me reunion on The Big Bang Theory
April 18th, 2018 under Chuck Lorre, Jerry O'Connell/Rebecca Romijn. [ Comments: none ]

A few weeks ago, CBS announced that Jerry O’Connell is going to play Sheldon’s older brother Georgie on the season finale of The Big Bang Theory, and it is going to be an epic episode filled with many guest stars for Sheldon and Amy’s wedding.

If there is anyone that Sheldon does not want at his wedding, then it is going to be his arch-nemesis Wil Wheaton. Since the groom does not want him there, you know that he is going to be there to witness the nuptials.

You know what that means for us? We get to see Gordie and Vern together again! They are just as close now as they were when that movie came out in 1986 as you can see in this photo that EP Bill Prady posted. Maybe we can get a sequel since life imitated art in a way?

Now the big question, is will TBBT find a way to reference Stand By Me on the episode that airs on May 10th? We will find out then! Hopefully, it will be Mark Hamill who makes the reference like maybe with a pie eating contest?

Lots of laughs on Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon and Will & Grace tonight
March 29th, 2018 under Alec Baldwin, Chuck Lorre, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes. [ Comments: none ]

The night starts off at 8p with The Big Bang Theory on CBS and they have their richest guest star ever. Bill Gates plays himself and you know the boys are going to geek out over him.

But he is not there for them, he is there for Penny (Kaley Cuoco). When she tells the gang that she is going to give him a tour on Monday, but he is flying on Sunday. Sheldon (Jim Parson) becomes skeptical because Sunday is April Fool’s Day and he thinks she is playing a joke on him.

As much as Penny (Kaley Cuoco) would love to take her husband to meet the computer mogul with her, she can’t. Thus, Leonard decides to find out which hotel he is staying at and takes Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) with him. Will they meet him? What happens when they do? You don’t want to miss what happens next.

Then at 8:30p, Young Sheldon decides to try something different. After Sheldon (Iain Armitage) loses the science fair, he announces he is giving up on science.

His parents (Zoe Perry and Lance Barber) take him back to the therapist to help him but instead, Sheldon has a new goal for his life. He is going to study the arts and audition for the school play. Since he has to be perfect at everything he does, he watches several movies to learn how to act?

Does it work? The director (Jason Alexander) thinks he is perfect for the lead role and casts him as it. The only problem is his parents do not approve and try to talk him out of it. They will not be able to do it. You do not want to miss opening night because you will see an unforgettable performance. One you will be talking about tomorrow, tomorrow.

Jason Alexander does such a great job on the darling sitcom, they have to make him a recurring cast member next season. He can even date Meemaw (Annie Potts)! She needs some action and we know she likes the theater. A match made in heaven.

Then at 9p but over on NBC, Alec Baldwin returns to Will & Grace as Karen’s (Megan Mullally) lover. Just as Karen is getting some loving, Jack (Sean Hayes) loses his.

Talking about losses, Grace (Debra Messing) takes Will (Eric McCormack) up to her dad’s (Robert Klein) to celebrate her late mother’s birthday. Her sisters (Sara Rue and Mary McCormack) want Grace to convince their dad to sell their house. She does not want to do, but they insist that she does it. What will her dad do? All I will say is that Will is the one that helps make up his mind.

Out of all of the revivals, Will & Grace is the one that got it the most right. Every week, I do at least one loud cackle and two spit takes. Tonight I did more than that, thanks to Baldwin and his magic pajamas.

Guess who is going to play Sheldon’s brother on The Big Bang Theory
March 22nd, 2018 under Chuck Lorre, Jerry O'Connell/Rebecca Romijn. [ Comments: 1 ]

A few months ago, when the producers were asked who they think should play Sheldon’s older brother on The Big Bang Theory, they said Matthew McConaughey. I guess the Oscar winner was not available, so they went with their second choice, Jerry O’Connell. I think that is an alright, alright, alright choice to play Georgie. He looks and acts like the adult version of Montana Jordan, who plays the role on Young Sheldon.

You will see his first appearance in the season finale for Sheldon and Amy’s big day. No word who will play Sheldon’s twin sister, but I think they should go with Jennifer Love Hewitt. She looks like an older version of Missy (Raegan Revord).

Here is a little factoid. Even though O’Connell is playing Parson’s older brother, in real life the latter is 11 months older than the former.

The Big Bang Theory baby is here and Young Sheldon is left home alone!
March 1st, 2018 under Chuck Lorre. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XP7VYTevGsI
Tonight at 8p on CBS, it is time for the second Wolowitz baby to be born on The Big Bang Theory. Melissa Rauch is back from her real life maternity leave, so that means it is time for her character, Bernadette, to give birth to her son with Howard (Simon Helberg). Only thing baby boy Wolowitz needs is a name. Bernadette wants to name him after her father and Howard wants to name him anything but. Who will win out?

While they are in the hospital getting ready for #2, the rest of the gang is back the Wolowitz house talking about their future plans for children. You will never believe how many kids Sheldon (Jim Parsons) wants. I almost fell over when he said it. So did Amy (Mayim Bialik).

By the end of the episode, the baby is born and we find out his perfect name. I just won’t tell you what it is so that you will watch this very funny episode.

Then at 8:30p, Young Sheldon is back and he is cuter than ever! Mary (Zoe Perry) gets a job at the church, and there is only one problem. She needs someone to watch the twins while she is at work.

She asks her mom (Annie Potts) to do it, but her life is too full to take care of her grandchildren. Her husband (Lance Barber) has to work and Georgie (Montana Jordan) has practice. Since no one can do it, she decides to leave the twins home alone for a few hours all by themselves. What’s the worse that can happen?

Sheldon (Iain Armitage) gets a splinter and he starts to freak out. Missy (Raegan Revord) decides she is going to help by getting it out just like their mamma would do. Is Sheldon brave enough to let his sister do it? We are talking about Sheldon Cooper after all.

You don’t want miss this sweet episode that shows Sheldon and Missy bonding as they are left home alone. About time we got to see them be the twins that they are.

BTWF home videos: Iain Armitage singing
January 18th, 2018 under Before They Were Famous, Chuck Lorre. [ Comments: none ]

Before Iain Armitage had several people available to tell him a line when he forgets it while filming Young Sheldon, his mom would do that when he was singing in the bathtub. Who thought he could be cuter than he already is, but he was even more awwwdorable when he was 3 years old singing Stars from Les Misérables back in 2012.
