Will Bridgit Mendler’s fans like her on Undateable?

Bridgit Mendler spent most of her career working on Disney shows like Good Luck Charlie. Now that she is old enough to drink, she is changing things up and playing a waitress at a bar on NBC’s very dateable Undateable tonight and every Tuesday at 9p.
Does the actress think her fans will follow her over to the much more adult sitcom? Recently, at the NBC TCA Winter Day, she said, “I mean, so far they’ve been excited, which I’m glad about.” Then she added, “I see a lot of social media stuff from them. I’m hoping that they enjoy it. I mean, obviously, it’s a different kind of comedy. So I’m thinking that it will more be something that the older fans will gravitate towards, but I think it’s genuinely funny. So I’m assuming that my fans will as well.”
Talking about social media, the cast and crew are seeing the upside of being on a show with her. Rick Glassman said, “Half my followers are now Bridgit-bots.” David Flynn added, “We all get aggressive tweets from Brazil and Argentina.” Then Brent Morin chimed in with, “Yeah, from 11 year old girls.”
Bill Lawrence, who created the show, knows the power of her younger fans because his kids are “suddenly interested” in Undateable. He joked that they are much more impressed with her than him. But no matter what any father does, the kids are never impressed with him at that age. Thus, he shouldn’t feel bad.
When it comes to Mendler’s age, Lawrence says that they have has to explain some of the jokes to her because she is too young to understand them. To make you feel old, she didn’t know what a payphone is and she never heard the song Old Man River. So if she doesn’t get it, neither will her younger fans. But that shouldn’t stop them from watching because the one thing they will get is the giggles. That’s because, Undateable is a show that every one of every age can find something to laugh about. They might not get all of the jokes, but they will get a lot of them.
When it comes to Mendler as Candance, she definitely has added a new brand of humor to the humorous show. So make sure to tune in to see her and the rest of the gang on NBC tonight.

Undateable’s Bianca Kajlich’s major f*ck up!!!
March 19th, 2015 under Bill Lawrence, Bloopers. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPGYuhkQH4I
On the season premiere of Undateable on Tuesday all Bianca Kajlich had to say was, “Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Sometimes we are. One night stands are like fast food. Sure you feel guilty the next day, but sometimes you just need something cheap you can enjoy in your car,” but she had a problem with the one-liner. She forgot how it was suppose to end, so when she got to, “Sometimes you just need something to,” she ended it with “f*ck!” Too bad the show airs on NBC because her ending worked so much better than the one that was written for her. Not that the writers joke was bad, it was just that hers was an improvement.
If Kajlich was feeling bad about her mistake, to make matters worse, her male co-stars are all comedians so they were having a field day with it.
Once they were done giving her grief about the error, it was time to continue on with the taping and for some reason she had problem with the line again. I wonder why?
She wasn’t the only one who screwed up when they filmed the season premiere, so see what the other actors messed up during the taping.
And if you think the bloopers from Undateable are funny, the show is even funnier. So make sure to watch it every Tuesday at 9p on NBC.

Make a date with Undateable because it ends with One Big Happy!

Undateable was the summer’s biggest surprise hit, and tonight at 9p the highlarious comedy is back on NBC for its second season.
The whole gang is back at the bar and this time there is a new member working with them. Candace (Bridgit Mendler) is the new ditzy, but loveable waitress at Black Eyes bar. This role is a lot different from the one she played on Good Luck Charlie and it suits her. For her fans, you will be happy to hear she does sing on it.
When it comes to other guys, Justin (Brent Morin) is still dealing with his breakup to Nicki. So much so, Danny (Chris D’Elia) convinces him to try a one-night stand. Let’s just say no matter how much coaching Danny gives his roommate, Justin still manages to mess it up in his own special way. And Danny just makes it worse in his special way.
Then there’s Brett (David Fynn), Burski (Rick Glassman), Shelly (Ron Funches) and Leslie (Bianca Kajlich) and they are there to support their friends in their own special way. A way that makes you laugh so hard, you will be crying. Oh, and when it comes to Leslie, I will tell you she is the butt of all jokes tonight.
So tune into Undateable tonight and every Tuesday at 9p for a sitcom that is totally dateable!

Then at 9:30p, One Big Happy premieres on NBC. Lizzy and Luke have been best friends forever, they live together and now they are having a kid together. Why aren’t they together together? They both like the same thing, women. Everything has been going great for them until he meets Prudence and it is love at first sight and marriage on the second date. Now the three of them are living together as husband, wife and baby mama. How will it work out for them? You will just have to watch.
The show’s creator, Liz Feldman, wrote my favorite episode of 2 Broke Girls, so I had a lot of hope for the show. Sadly, that hope quickly faded with every episode I saw of the show and I saw four. The jokes and the chemistry feel forced, and Cuthbert is just unlikable. I hope that the show will get better, but sadly, I don’t think it will.

Bridgit Mendler is Undateable for life!

Undateable is back on NBC St Patrick’s Day (perfectly enough) at 9p and there is a new girl in the bar. Good Luck Charlie’s Bridgit Mendler is joining the highlarious sitcom and that is something to sing about. So much so, she is performing a song about it and the cast was there to help her out.
They might be Undateable, but they are also unbeatable when it comes to promoting their show that makes you laugh from the start until the end.
BTW the only thing that was missing from this music video is Ron Funches’ laugh. It is pure happiness.

NBC finally asked Undateable on a second date!
July 31st, 2014 under Bill Lawrence. [ Comments: none ]

Undateable’s season finale aired just over a month ago and today NBC finally picked up the hilarious sitcom for a second season according to the show’s Executive Producer, Bill Lawrence. I don’t know what took them so long because this has been the Peacock’s strongest sitcom in a really long time. It’s like a modern day friends but even wittier. They had so many jokes that you can incorporate into your daily like white girl emergency and slow motion celebration. Plus, that means we will get to hear Ron Funches’ girly laugh over and over again. And who doesn’t live for that?
