AnnaLynne McCord just joined NBC’s The Night Shift and she already made a new friend. The two women are so close, the stand-in even showed her new buddy her breast. Actually that was how the 90210er found her hanging out (no pun), which is why they bonded so quickly!

First Busta Rhymes put on his dreads for the ’90s bases Fresh Off the Boat and now Courtney Thorne-Smith is moving back in to her old haunt for the ABC sitcom. According to Entertainment Weekly, Smith is going to guest star on the Melrose Place themed episode, April 5th. No word if she will be reprising her role as Allison Parker, herself in 1996 or someone else. But since she hasn’t aged since the nighttime soap went off the air, I am going to assume she will once again be playing the girl next door who made her a household name.
Now that Rhymes and Smith are going back to the ’90s with FOTB and Weird Al Yankovic traveled back to the ’80s for The Goldbergs, I am hoping we see more of this next season. I normally hate stunt casting, but I love it on these shows.
Jason Priestley was filming his new Global show in Canada yesterday when he suffered an injury that sent him to the hospital. The actor gave an update on Twitter today, he said, “Hey guys, thanks for all the kind words… It’s true, I did get thrown off a horse on set… I got my bell rung pretty good… Because I have a history of concussions, they took me to see a neurologist for an assessment. He advised I take a few days off as I had suffered a Concussion… But I am definitely on the mend and looking forward to getting back to work with all the wonderful people on The Code.”
Hopefully, he will be better soon and that horse has been replaced. Better yet, he let’s his stunt double film the scene.
Let’s be real, Lifetime’s Unauthorized Stories for the most part are really bad. Strangely enough, they finally got one right. The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story is pretty entertaining, so you should check it out at 8p tonight.
The telemovie starts out with the network pitching the show to Aaron Spelling (Dan Castellaneta) and him saying no. That is until his daughter Tori (Abby Ross) convinces him to do it. Now it is time to cast to lead roles, and Tori again helps him with that when she suggests he hires Shannen Doherty (Samantha Munro) and Jason Priestley (Max Lloyd-Jones ). Tori auditions for Kelly, but the network wants Jennie Garth (Abbie Cobb), so she gets Donna. Somehow Ian Ziering (David Lennon), Gabrielle Carteris (Michele Goyns) and Brian Austin Green (Ross Linton) are also cast on the show.
Now it is time to the shoot the pilot and they share the studio with porn stars. Did you know that? After the pilot is shot and they watch it, they think the show will never get picked up. As we know it did, but initially it bombed.
Darren Star (Adam Korson) and Aaron think the show is missing something and that something is Luke Perry (Jesy McKinney). But even he couldn’t save the show from poor ratings. That is until something happens that helps it become the hit that became. What, you will have to tune in to find out.
After the show is a hit, it is the I hate Shannen show. The movie ends with her firing and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen’s (Alyssa Lynch) hiring. Lynch also played her in Lifetime’s Saved By the Bell movie.
Even though the telemovie only covers the first four seasons, it is just enough. I don’t know how to explain how they got it right, but when you see it, you will see how they did.
I mean, the only actors who look like the people they are playing are Munro and Cobb, but you quickly forget that because the story is interesting enough to keep you entertained.
Tori Spelling recently was strapped down to a lie detector, asked a bunch of questions and this Saturday we will get the results on Lifetime. One of the questions they asked her, is did she sleep with any of her Beverly Hills. 90210 co-stars. She admitted that she did and it was Brian Austin Green.
She revealed that as soon as they met, she felt a connection with him but she wasn’t sure he felt the same way. That’s because he used to come up to her and pull on her peach fuzz and call her, “My Chewbacca.” Well they went from that to making Wookie, I mean Whoopie.
She also revealed that she slept with another co-star, but we will have to tune in to find out who. Who do you think it is?
