I am going to kiss and tell about tonight’s Best Medicine and Doc
March 10th, 2026 under Best Medicine, Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 8p on Fox, the Doc ordered the Best Medicine, and she delivered, or is it a he! Anyways, you won’t be forgetting either episode anytime soon.

Best Medicine gets things started with the weekly activity that brings the people of Port Wenn together. What is it? The birds migrate to the small oceanside town every year, and the residents spend the weekend watching them fly in for a visit.

And talking about visiting, two elderly sisters come to visit Dr. Best (Josh Charles) because one of them is having stomach pains. But that is not all, she is also having hallucinations. She sees birds that are not there. But why? That is what Martin is going to have to find out. You are going to want to see what happens next. It will definitely cause your jaw to drop.

The sisters are not his only patients this week. Little Petey (Ben Lewis Doherty) thinks he has some new ailments. Is there actually something wrong with him?

Martin will have his work cut out for him. And yes, as you see in the teaser, that is not all…

So after I screened this episode, I started to stream Doc Martin, the UK series that the medical dramedy is based on. And what happened in this episode happened in the OG pilot. In fact, the two share a lot of storylines. And maybe I am biased, but I think the American version does a better job.

So tune in tonight and find out why people are loving this show!

Then at 9p, it is a game changing episode for Doc.

The doctors know there is something wrong with Joan (Felicity Huffman), but they don’t know what. They do know that they don’t want her to operate on any more patients. But when one of her old friends, who only trusts her, comes to the hospital with an emergency, she insists that she is the one who treats him. Amy (Molly Parker) agrees to help her make sure nothing goes wrong. And when she does, she starts having memories of her friend’s diagnosis. Will she remember that she knows what is wrong with Joan?

Richard (Scott Wolf) and T.J. (Patrick Walker) are working on a patient together, and they don’t agree on the treatment to give him. The patient is a celebrity, and Max (Darrin Baker), the hospital CEO, steps in and makes the final decision. Will his decision be the right or wrong one?

You will have to tune in for an episode where the doctors will change their insights on themselves…

The original Doc Martin comes to Best Medicine
March 3rd, 2026 under Best Medicine, Fox. [ Comments: none ]

For 18 years, Martin Clunes played Doctor Martin Best on the other side of the pond, and he did it brilliantly.

Now, that role is being played by Josh Charles in the American version of the medical dramedy, Doc Martin, which is Best Medicine.

Tonight at 8p on Fox, Clunes still plays Dr. Best, but this time he is Martin’s (Charles) father, Robert. Robert and his wife (Judith Ivey) have come to Port Wenn to visit their son and see how he is doing there with his Aunt Sarah (Annie Potts). However, it is Martin who needs to see how his dad is doing because something is off with him.

Can the son diagnose his dad? All while his dad is diagnosing his son’s patients. And the two Best men will have to work together to save the life of one of the residents who finds themself in a harrowing situation.

It is not all about the Bests. Louisa (Abigail Spencer) gets some good and very bad news about her job. All while her students are preparing to spend the night in the school for a sleepover. Because Port Wenn.

Back to the Bests. Now that we have been introduced to Martin’s parents, we can understand why he is the way he is. They are even colder and more disassociated with people than he is. Believe it or not, he is warm and fuzzy as compared to them.

Also, seeing Clunes and Charles together, you can see why they cast The Good Wife actor in the role. He is a younger version of the original. And that is a very good thing, like the show itself.

Best Medicine was prescribed a season 2
March 2nd, 2026 under Best Medicine, Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Here is news that should not come as a surprise, but Fox picked up the heartwarming Best Medicine for season 2.

“Best Medicine quickly became a breakout for us this season, blending sharp humor with real heart,” said Michael Thorn, President of FOX Television Network. “Liz Tuccillo brings a distinctive creative voice to the series, and Josh Charles leads an exceptional cast that audiences have embraced. We, along with Propogate, are excited to build on that momentum in Season Two.”

The series is about a big city surgeon working as the only doctor in a small town that is wacky as he is quacky. Well, he is not a quack, but I liked the rhyme.

Anyways, the medical dramedy has found more viewers since its premiere. And if you tune in on Tuesdays at 8p, you will find out why people, like me, are loving it!!!

A tale of two Dr. Bests on Best Medicine!
February 25th, 2026 under Best Medicine, Fox. [ Comments: none ]

What is better than one Dr. Best on Fox’s Best Medicine? Two of them. On Tuesday, that is what we are going to get when Martin Clunes, who played the title role in the United Kingdom’s Doc Martin, the show this one is originated from, guest stars as Dr. Martin Best’s (Josh Charles) dad.

When Martin’s parents (Clunes and Judith Ivey) make a surprise visit, Martin suspects that his father, Robert, blindsides his sister Sarah with some infuriating news, is experiencing a serious health condition. Also, while trying to avoid the school’s forthcoming closure during its annual Spirit Week sleepover, Louisa is made acting principal, and Martin and Robert must work together.

If you are not watching Best Medicine, you are missing out on a quirky, small town medical drama with a huge heart.

A murder mystery on tonight’s Best Medicine
February 24th, 2026 under Best Medicine, Fox. [ Comments: none ]

The sleepy town of Port Wenn gets a wake-up call tonight at 8p on Fox’s Best Medicine when a dead body is found during a history lesson about the area.

The body is discovered in the local bog, and Dr. Best (Josh Charles) is called in to investigate the murder because the coroner is on vacation.

Since the body has been underwater in the wetland for so long, it is hard to determine who he was and when he died. But it looks like he was shot.

Who shot him? When did he die? And who was he?

Someone will confess to the murder, and it will shock you. But not as much as why. Did they really do it?

That is not all that Dr. Best has to deal with in the episode. He also needs to start on Louisa (Abigail Spencer) on her bloodletting treatment. As we know, he has a phobia of blood, so how is he going to handle it? Let’s just say he will make it awkward for the two of them and Elaine (Cree).

And he will also make it awkward for everyone in Port Wenn because they are not used to seeing him so happy, or happy at all. Why is he happy?

You are just going to have to tune in to find out. And you also need to tune in to see why this medical dramedy is making me and so many people so happy!

I might be a big city girl, but Best Medicine makes me want to live in a small, quirky town that has crazy events every week. Nothing like that ever happens like that where I live, and Amelia Earhart lived in my little town before she took that fateful plane ride. You would think we would do more to honor her or some of my other famous neighbors like Bob Hope, Garry Marshall, and Miley Cyrus. But it is not about me.
