Are you like me, and you don’t want to watch the election results? Well, Fox has you covered with new episodes of Best Medicine and Doc starting at 8p.
On Best Medicine, Martin (Josh Charles) is being his normal grumpy self to his patients, so they want to see another doctor. And Port Wenn is getting a new one. Actually, remember Savannah (Heléne Yorke)? She is back, and she is prescribing natural remedies to people who are going to her instead of Dr. Best.
What could go wrong? A lot. Her cures are making their symptoms worse, and Martin has to find a way to stop her. Even though she is screwing up, the town would rather see her. So, how is he going to get his patients to see him over her?
His patients are not the only ones who are seeing other people. Louisa (Abigail Spencer) is dating the doctor who has come to town to monitor Martin. What happens when he catches them kissing?
Things are not going well for Martin. Can they finally turn around for him? Tune into Fox tonight and Hulu tomorrow to find out.
And stick around to watch Doc. Amy has a case that is more complicated than it appears, one that she will have to keep secret from those around her for a very good reason.

Josh Charles is the opposite of Best Medicine’s Martin Best |

If you watch Best Medicine, then you know that Martin Best is a very hands-off person. However, in real life, Josh Charles, who plays the lead character, is the opposite.
Abigail Spencer shared a video of her co-star hugging their fellow castmates Annie Potts, Stephen Spinella, Cree, and the awwwdorable Did Conn. And now I want to visit the medical procedural for one of those comforting hugs!
Although I feel as though I get one of those big hugs every Tuesday night when I watch Best Medicine on Fox!

Best Medicine delivers a beautifully sad episode |

Best Medicine is my favorite show from last season. A big reason is because of the sweet humor it brings every week. However, tonight’s episode at 8p on Fox is bringing the tears in an episode that will make you want a big hug after you watch it.
A magic act comes to Port Wenn, and they delight the town with their tricks. That is until their rabbit accidentally bites the wife of the magician. Martin (Josh Charles) treats her and says everything is going to be all right. However, the next morning she doesn’t wake up.
Her death affects people in different ways. Martin questions if he did something wrong. Elaine (Cree) questions how short our time on this planet really is. But her boyfriend, Al (Carter Shimp), has the opposite reaction. Together, they have a conversation that breaks my heart because what he says to her is so true about sadness.
But the saddest moments come when the magician doesn’t believe that his wife has died. He keeps expecting that he will be able to make her reappear. But even Houdini could not do that magic trick. What happens when he finally realizes that he can’t just wave his wand and bring her back? All I can say is you need to have the tissues ready, because I didn’t stop crying after that. I needed someone to hug, so I grabbed my cat, and now she doesn’t want me watching it anymore.
But it is not about us. It is also about Martin’s new medical monitor, Parker (Jack Cutmore-Scott), who asks Louisa (Abigail Spencer) on a date, and she accepts. He is just what the doctor ordered. Not Martin, but his girlfriend, Eden (Eliza Coupe), who is rightfully jealous of Louisa. What happens when Eden finds a love letter in Martin’s desk?
There is a lot that happens in this episode, and it is all very heartfelt. So whether you are addicted to the show like I am, or if you have never seen it, it is an episode that everyone will enjoy.

Can Martin leave Port Wenn on Best Medicine? |

Tonight at 8p on Fox’s Best Medicine, Martin tries to leave Port Wenn for Boston for the first time since he moved there, but can he do it?
Martin (Josh Charles) is trying to get to Boston to spend time with his girlfriend, Dr. Eden Montgomery (Eliza Coupe). However, as he is leaving, Sally (Clea Lewis) asks if she can see him because she needs her prescription renewed before he leaves. He agrees to do it.
But as he is wrapping up with her, Louisa (Abigail Spencer) calls him because one of the teachers at her school is full of energy, and she won’t let her band students stop practicing. And since it’s graduation day, they need to get the practice in. But not that much. Martin thinks it is all the caffeine she has been drinking, so he tells her he will see her on Monday.
When he tries to leave again, an older teacher stops him because she can’t stop lactating. That stops him in his tracks. But not as much as the driver who crashes into his car. Thus, giving him another teacher as a patient.
Martin is stuck, but he also needs to find out what is ailing these three teachers. He is on a mission to solve their medical mysteries and still find a way to make it to Boston. Can he figure it out and still get away for the weekend?
Louisa is nervous because this is her first time serving as principal for a graduation. She can’t get her speech written, and Elaine (Cree) is going to try to help her. If that is not enough for her, she decides to take a pregnancy test. Is she pregnant?
And there is more that happens in this episode that you don’t want to miss. One of the town’s biggest mysteries is solved. And I am not going to tell you what it is.
You will have to watch it tonight or on Hulu starting tomorrow to find out.
