Cancel culture is going too far
May 4th, 2026 under Barry Manilow, LeAnn Rimes, NBC, Post Malone. [ Comments: none ]

I don’t know about you, but it seems like everything is getting cancelled these days. And that is because it is.

LeAnn Rimes cancelled two dates of her tour due to an illness, and now she has to cancel two more concerts. She wrote, “after a diagnosis of covid leading to severe laryngitis, i’m so sorry to have to reschedule next week’s shows. a visit to my doctor for a scope of my vocal chords has confirmed the news and i wanted to tell you as soon as i could. i’m excited to share that we have been able to reschedule and the new dates are as follows. i look forward to seeing you all, soon!”

She was not the only one who disappointed fans. Post Malone is also doing it. However, he is perfectly healthy. The singer explained, “Looking at the upcoming schedule after stagecoach, I came to the realization that what we [he and Jelly Roll] were trying to do, and what’s possible, isn’t really lining up.

“Truth is, I promised y’all beautiful people new music, and I don’t have the time to finish it before tour starts. We ain’t ready for tour just yet, so I’m making the decision to push the tour back about 3 weeks to get this music done.”

Next up is Barry Manilow. The legendary crooner is still recovering from beating lung cancer at the end of last year. He wrote, “Good news! I went to the doctor yesterday and he said I’m making great progress and look great! Well of course I do! Thank you very much!

“All the training and exercising I’ve put in is paying off.

“He did say, however, that I’m not quite ready for Vegas. That means I won’t be able to return for our May shows at Westgate Las Vegas.”

The jingle writer is expecting to perform in London throughout June and in Las Vegas the following month. Hopefully, he will be able to do it.

Music is not the only one suffering from cancellations; TV is feeling the impact too. NBC did not use their Brilliant Minds when it comes to the 2026-2027 season. Therefore, they are U-G-L-Y because cancelled Stumble, the cheer comedy mockumentary, which was too funny for broadcast television, with no alibi. Oh, and they also pulled the plug on Brilliant Minds.

If you have never seen Stumble, you can watch it on NBC and Peacock.

As of now, that is all! But that will change.

Barry Manilow goes to the dogs!
April 29th, 2026 under Barry Manilow. [ Comments: none ]

Barry Manilow has had a ruff six months. He was diagnosed with lung cancer around Christmastime, and it has taken the 82-year-old longer to recover than he expected. However, he can still appreciate the things that make the Sun Shine.

Therefore, he wrote a song about that! And he released a music video, not starring him, but dogs! And I love it! However, after my cat watched it, she said that she prefers Bette Midler. Too soon?

After watching this video, I believe that all musicians should release a music video version with animals because it makes everything better.

The singer’s new album, What a Time is available for pre-order.

Barry Manilow postpones more dates

Barry Manilow cancelled his Christmas dates because he underwent surgery to remove cancer from his lungs. The 82-year-old was hoping to be back on the road at the end of this month, but that is no longer happening.

The singer had this message for his fans:

Hi Everyone.
Barry here.
Just got home from visiting the surgeon.
Very depressing visit.
I told him that I have been using the treadmill three times a day (I have) but that I still couldn’t sing more than three songs in a row before I had to stop.
But I was sure that I would be able to do the Arena shows in a few weeks.
He shook his head.
He looked at me and then he looked at the floor.
“What?” I said.
He said, “Barry, you won’t be ready to do a 90 minute show. Your lungs aren’t ready yet. You’re in great shape considering what you’ve been through, but your body isn’t ready.
You shouldn’t do the first Arena shows. You won’t make it through.”
Well, I had a feeling he’d say that. Deep down, I wanted to go back-but my body knew what my heart didn’t want to admit: I wasn’t ready.
I’m so sorry I have to reschedule the first batch of Arena shows from February 27th – March 17.
He said I could likely do the Vegas shows at the very end of March and the second batch of Arena shows beginning in April.

Hopefully, his lungs will have healed by then. However, his health comes first. Although for performers like him , being in front of an audience is his best medicine.

Barry Manilow reveals that he has lung cancer
December 22nd, 2025 under Barry Manilow. [ Comments: none ]

Christmas is Barry Manilow’s time of the year, so for him to cancel his holiday concerts, there has to be an important reason. Sadly, there is.

The singer dealt with two bouts of long-term bronchitis recently, and his doctors decided to do an MRI to see if there was anything else going on. That is when they discovered a cancerous spot on his left lung.

They have recommended that the 82-year-old undergo immediate surgery to remove it, and they are hopeful that it has not spread because it was caught early.

However, he will need a month to recuperate. Therefore, he will be postponing his January dates and is hoping to be back for his Valentine’s shows.

Manilow ended his statement by reminding people to get tested at the slightest symptoms. By doing so, it could save your life, like it is his.

Let’s pray that everything goes smoothly for Barry and that he is back doing what he loves: entertaining audiences with his music!
