Barry Manilow is doing life in Vegas
December 2nd, 2024 under Barry Manilow. [ Comments: none ]

Barry Manilow has done over 650 shows at Westgate Vegas, and he will not be stopping anytime soon.

Westgate’s owner, David Siegel, offered him a lifetime contract to perform at the resort’s International Theater.

“David Siegel and the Westgate team have been like family to me,” the 81-year-old Manilow said in a statement to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “I am deeply grateful to have the opportunity to call Westgate home for the rest of my career.”

This is the first time Siegel has offered anyone a lifetime contract since he took over in 1982.

Even though Manilow is set for life, he only has 48 concerts scheduled through 2025. But I am sure he will be adding on in the near future.

I did not need to see Barry put the Man in Manilow
October 23rd, 2024 under Barry Manilow. [ Comments: none ]

When I think of Barry Manilow, I think of him as a safe dancer. However, the singer put a video of him dancing to his song I’m Your Man, and it cannot be unseen.

Manilow was dry humping the air and running his hand down his crotch. All I can say is my poor eyes. It is not something I have ever wanted to see, and now that image is burned into my head.

I am going to need to listen to some Bette Middler to erase the memory.

Who does Barry Manilow want to play him in his biopic?
January 23rd, 2024 under Barry Manilow, Drew Barrymore. [ Comments: none ]

Barry Manilow is on The Drew Barrymore Show today, and the actress asked him a lot of questions. Thus, what do you do on a talk show?

First, she wanted to know where his awards are, and he admitted to her that he uses his Emmy to keep his door open in his studio. It is not that he is not proud of his award; it is just that it is a good doorstop.

Then she wanted to know if he could eat one food all of the time, what would it be? The singer said, “Whipped cream!” I am with him on that!

And finally, who does he want to play him in his biopic? Without hesitation, he said, “Robert Redford, of course!”

Something that would be interesting to see because Redford is seven years older than Manilow, and retired.

Personally, I would go with Rob Lowe. Think back to when Lowe was in Behind the Candelabra. Wouldn’t he be perfect?

Barry Manilow’s All I Want for Christmas Is You cheesy greatness!
November 17th, 2023 under Barry Manilow, Mariah Carey. [ Comments: none ]

Mariah Carey is the Queen of Christmas because of her hit All I Want for Christmas Is You. Therefore, a lot of artists want to cover the modern Christmas Carol.

This year, Barry Manilow did his own version of the holiday’s top song. And you know what? And I am risking coal in my stocking. But I think it is better than the original!

I can picture dancing to this at the work holiday party with an egg nog in my hand and a Santa hat on my head.

Seriously, isn’t his take more fun?

Dear Santa, Please don’t put me on the naughty list for saying this. Unless being on the naughty list gets you naughty adult toys! They are my purrfect stocking stuffer! And by that, I mean, well, you know what I mean.

A ’70s music fan’s wet dream: Charo, Barry Manilow and Dionne Warwick
May 3rd, 2023 under Barry Manilow, Charo, Dionne Warwick, Wet dream. [ Comments: none ]

Back in the ’70s, everyone was doing the Cuchi Cuchi to Charo, Barry Manilow, and Dionne Warwick. However, they weren’t doing it at the Copacabana. Instead, they were doing it in their bedrooms because that was the only location where they could hear the three of them in the same place.

And as often as they would say a little prayer to make the three of them be in the same room, it never happened. But someone said a big prayer, and we have a lineup that would make The Love Boat wet.

That is because the three singers met up at Carnegie Hall, and we just get to bask in the glory of their enormous talent. And wishin’ and hopin’ that they were talking about either releasing a song or going on tour together. I would pay bucks to see them on a weekend in New England or anywhere they perform live.

Imagine the stories these legends could tell. It is stuff that Manilow writes songs about.
