At this year’s Emmy Awards everyone in the cast of Modern Family over 21 got an Emmy nomination except Ed O’Neill and he was also ignored by the Golden Razzies, I mean Golden Globes too. Well now he is finally getting nominated for an award and it is by his peers, Al Bundy received a SAG Award nomination. About freaking time!
But he is not the only awesome nomination that was announced by SAG this morning, Hot in Cleveland got two nominations. One for Best Ensemble and one for Betty White. Hats off to TV Land for getting two nominations for their first ever scripted show. What other network can say that? And the noms are well deserved!
When it comes to the rest of the nominations you can check them out on the SAG Awards’ site. I am just not feeling this Awards season, so that is why I am not listing them all.

If it weren’t for the fact they were honoring Betty White, I would not have DVRed the SAG Awards, but as they said who doesn’t love Betty White! And what an introduction Sandra Bullock gave to Betty as she received the much deserved Life Achievement Award and what an acceptance speech Ms Betty White gave when she got the naked little man statuette! I especially loved the clip reel because I never saw Betty’s early work before so it was such a joy to see she is really a brunette. Who knew she wasn’t a natural blonde? I also love that the Golden Girl is 88 years young and she still has all of her wit…her dirty little wit!!! Now when it comes to Sandra accepting her award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for a Motion Picture, how much did you adore her speech where she praises her husband! I so want a marriage like theirs because you can tell that they really love each other, afterall he is wearing a monkey suit for her. Next time she forces him to dress up is the Oscars!!!
Next up is Drew Barrymore, who is finally winning awards for her acting! I love her speeches and I admire that she tries to do them off the cuff. Next up for her is the Emmys, hopefully by then she will have this award accepting thing down!
Finally it is time for the Inglourious Basterds and we have Christoph Waltz who is just so humbled by all of his awards for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture and if anyone deserves the award for best actor this year it is him. Plus his speeches are so original and sincere, how can you not love him. Lastly we have Eli Roth accepting Best Ensemble in a Motion Picture for the cast and he is the only actor who actually named all of the cast that was up there on the stage with him when they won that honor and I respect him for that. Next up fro Christoph is the Oscars!

They announced the SAG Awards nominations today and they are not worth going over because they are so lame. I mean they nominated Christina Applegate for Samantha Who?, does she even remember doing that show? Don’t get me wrong I love her, but I am sorry but someone from Glee or Modern Family deserved the nom over her. And where is The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons? When it comes to movies, they are just like everyone else’s, so nothing new there.
Here is something positive, Miss Betty White is receiving The Lifetime Achievement Award and that is enough for me to DVR the show!!!

Screen Actors Guild Awards 46th Annual Life Achievement Award

Awards seasons is full swing with the nominations and today it was the Golden Globes turn at it. Once again The Weinstein Company rightfully dominated the awards with 12 noms for Inglourious Basterds, Nine and A Single Man, but Up In The Air had the most noms for a movie. I don’t get the George Clooney thing, I had to swear off his movies because to me they are unwatchable and extremely boring and are very small niche crowd…critics. On a positive note at least the movies are a little more mainstrean than years’ past. Although where is Star Trek on that list?
When it comes to TV, it is the opposite. I am happy that Glee sang its way to 4 noms and Modern Family was also represented! It was also nice to see David Duchovny, Courteney Cox and Neil Patrick Harris gets the noms, but where is Jim Parsons? And as much as I loved Thomas Jane in Hung, if you are going to be in a show based on the size of your penis and you are not going to show than I say you don’t deserve the nomination.
