Christian Bale should be enjoying the record-breaking success of Batman, but instead he is being questioned by the Scotland Yard for allegedly assaulting his mother and sister according to Sky News.
Bale, 34, is alleged to have lashed out at the two family members in his suite at Park Lane's Dorchester Hotel on Sunday.
The British actor, who plays the Caped Crusader, is being questioned at a central London police station, sources added.
The two women, who live in Dorset, went to a Hampshire police station yesterday
to make a formal allegation.
The complaint about the actor was then passed to the Metropolitan Police for
further investigation.
A police spokeswoman said: "A 34-year-old man attended a central London police station this morning by appointment.
"He was arrested in connection with an allegation of assault. He currently remains in custody."
Maybe because I have been watching Cristian Bale movies since he was a kid, there is something about this that just seems off. Why attack his mother and sister during what should have been the best weekend of his life. But then again, you just never know. I am sure more will come out as the day goes on.
What a way of focusing the spotlight off of Heath Ledger and on to someone else who is the movie.
Christian Bale has been released on bail.

The movie W (based on George W Bush) just got more interesting because Josh Brolin (Barbra Streisand's step-son) and Jeffrey Wright were arrested for a bar room brawl in Louisiana according to the Shreveport Times. (via Dlisted)
According to Shreveport Police patrol report, officers were called to the Stray Cat bar in the 200 block of Travis Street just after 2 a.m. to deal with a rowdy patron.
As more officers arrived, several other patrons at the bar, including Brolin and fellow actor Jeffrey Wright, 42, tried to impede the officers, the report said. In all, the report named 10 officers called to the ruckus.
Brolin, Wright and four other people were charged with interfering with police, a misdemeanor. Brolin was booked into the city jail, and posted $334 cash bond to be released.
I am sure Babs was loving that her step-son was playing George W Bush,. she must be loving even more thathe was arrested in a bar room brawl filming the movie. At least Brolin and Wright (who is playing Colin Powell) gave a good mug shot.

Tatum O’Neal busted for buying drugs |

Tatum O'Neal was arrested yesterday for allegedly buying crack and cocaine yesterday in Manhattan according to the NY Post.
"When the police approached, she asked them, 'You know who I am, right?' " one source told The Post.
"Then she said, 'I'm researching a part – I'm doing this for a part' " as a junkie.
The source said detectives found a pipe on O'Neal, daughter of actor Ryan O'Neal. The pipe and screen were clean.
"Then she said she'd been clean for two years, and that she'd just came out today," the source said.
"Can't we just forget about this?" the sources said she begged detectives.
The suspected drug dealer, Alan Garcia, 33, also was arrested, the sources said. Both were hauled into the Seventh Precinct station house and were expected to spend the night in custody.
She was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance; he was hit with a rap of criminal sale of a controlled substance.
I loved that she tried to use the Winona Ryder defense as to why she was busted for buying drugs. I wonder if that means she became a drunk for her role on Rescue Me too?
But if she has been clean for two years, hopefully she will get the helps she needs to stay clean.

Dawn Wells was arrested back in October after cops pulled her over swerving on the road according to AP.
On Oct. 18, Teton County sheriff's Deputy Joseph Gutierrez arrested Wells as she was driving home from a surprise birthday party that was held for her. According to the sheriff's office report, Gutierrez pulled Wells over after noticing her swerve and repeatedly speed up and slow down. When Gutierrez asked about a marijuana smell, Wells said she'd just given a ride to three hitchhikers and had dropped them off when they began smoking something. Gutierrez found half-smoked joints and two small cases used to store marijuana.
Her friends told the court the pot was not hers and she did not drink that much at her party. Wells plead guilty to reckless driving and was sentenced to 5 days in jail and placed on 6 months probation. In the plea agreement the DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance were dropped.
This is not the first time her name and pot have gone together. About ten years ago there were rumors that she ordered two packages of pot, one for her and one for her Gilligan's Island co-star Bob Denver according to Friends of Cannabis. Wells was never linked to pot and never charged.
No wonder they never wanted to leave the Island, it sounds like it was a lot of fun!

Danielle Fishel aka Topanga was arrested for an outstanding warrant for DUI according to Entertainment Tonight. Danielle was pulled over in Long Beach on Thursday at 4:55a for a vehicule code violation and was then arrested for the outstanding. She was released shortly after her arrest. I can't wait to see her mug shot.
