TMZ has learned that actor Haley Joel Osment has pled no contest to two misdemeanor charges stemming from a horrifying late car crash in July. According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Osment plead no contest to one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of possession of marijuana. Osment was sentenced to three years probation, 60 hours of alcohol rehab, six months of AA meetings (with a minimum of 26 meetings within that span of time) and was fined $1500 in penalties. Osment, who was nominated for an Oscar for his role in "The Sixth Sense" at age 11, lost control of his 1995 Saturn on his way home and collided with a brick pillar in a suburb of Los Angeles around 1 a.m. on July 20. No bystanders were injured in the wreck, but Osment wasn’t so lucky: the actor was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was treated for a broken rib and an injury to his shoulder. The collision caused the vehicle to flip over onto its roof and come to rest a short distance from the initial impact. The actor was reportedly alert and talkative following the accident, and was alone at the time of the crash.

So sad this is most likely only the beginning of his downfall!

Rapper Fabolous was shot early this morning (Oct. 17) as he stood at a Manhattan parking garage near Sean "Diddy" Combs’ Justin restaurant, spurring a sequence of events that left him both hospitalized in stable condition and under arrest, police said. The 28-year-old rapper, whose legal name is John Jackson, was shot once in the thigh when a male with a gun approached him and three others and opened fire, police spokesman Sgt. Mike Wysokowski said. The four jumped into a vehicle and fled, attracting the attention of police when they ran a red light. Officers stopped them and discovered two loaded guns in the vehicle, both of which were apparently unlicensed, Wysokowski said. All four men were arrested, and charges were pending. Fabolous was taken to a hospital. Police were searching for the shooter. Police did not identify the three men arrested with the rapper, saying only that they are 18, 23 and 29 years old.

A nanny who looked after former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell’s baby Bluebell has been arrested by police investigating an assault on the child. The flame-haired singer, who gave birth to Bluebell in May, phoned police to report her tot was "bruised and bawling" after being babysat by a golf course employee in August. Halliwell had gone for a walk at the Hampshire, England, club, entrusting Bluebell to a temporary member of staff there. She came back to find Bluebell distressed with bruises on her arm, and she decided to call the police after the nanny refused to explain the marks. he Metropolitan Police passed details of the alleged assault to their Child Abuse Investigation Unit, who held a woman in connection with the alleged incident on Wednesday. A police statement yesterday confirms, "A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm in connection with an assault on a child. She was taken to a central London police station and bailed for return this month." A source close to Halliwell said, "It is a huge relief to Geri that the nanny faces the British justice system."

Rapper Jadakiss was arrested for alleged weapon possession after a traffic stop early Saturday, his second arrest on gun charges since 2004, authorities said. Jadakiss, whose real name is Jason Phillips, was one of four people inside the car, Det. Sgt. Joseph Pietropaolo said. He said all four were charged with criminal possession of a weapon because a loaded handgun was found inside the vehicle. Jadakiss, a Yonkers native, released his first solo album, "Kiss the Game Goodbye," in 2001. His most recent album was "Kiss of Death," and he had a hit single "U Make Me Wanna" that featured Mariah Carey. Jadakiss sparked controversy in 2004 with his song "Why," which contained lyrics asking "Why did Bush knock down the towers?" He said later it was a reference to the president’s failure to stop terrorism. In July 2004, he was arrested on marijuana and gun possession charges in North Carolina. Police said they found less than an ounce of marijuana and two loaded .45-calibre pistols in his vehicle. He reached a plea agreement the next year on the North Carolina misdemeanour charges and paid a US$900 fine
Jam!
I bet you the charges will be dropped on Monday and they will say the gun belonged to one of the other people in the car.
