Today is Antonio Banderas’ 60th birthday, and he got the gift that no one wants this year. He announced that he will celebrating in quarantine because he tested positive for COVID-19. As of now, he is just more tired than usual. Other than that, he is feeling “relativley well.”

He is not letting the diagnonis to get him down because he said, “I will take advantage of this isolation to read, write, rest and continue to make plans to begin to give meaning to my newcomers 60 years to which I arrive full of desire and enthusiasm.”

Hopefully, he will be better soon, and can celebrate his milestone as best he can in 2020.

Antonio Banderas teaches Conan O’Brien to be One Singular Sensation
February 4th, 2020 under Antonio Banderas, Conan O'Brien. [ Comments: none ]

Antonio Banderas opened a theater in his hometown in Spain, and he is starring in a Spanish version of A Chorus Line. Banderas plays the director in the Broadway musical, and he offered to show Conan O’Brien some of the choreography when he was a guest on the TBS show yesterday.

Banderas, who is finally nominated for an Oscar, should stick to acting because his directing was horrible. Then again, I don’t even think that late great Bob Fosse or very talented Debbie Allen could teach Conan how to dance. Granted, I think Banderas chose the wrong number to teach his student. He should have gone with Dance Ten, Looks Three aka T!ts and A$$ instead. My body does its own moves whenever that song comes on playlist. Although, unlike me, Conan does not have an a$$ which is why he needs to see ee the wizard on Park and 73rd.

I really hope that Banderas finds a way to bring his take of the show to Broadway like he has said he wants to do.

Antonio Banderas says his first time presenting at the Oscars was traumatic
January 30th, 2020 under Antonio Banderas, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Ryan Seacrest. [ Comments: none ]

The Oscars is a traumatic experience for some people because they don’t win the little gold statuette. However, Antonio Banderas revealed on Live with Kelly and Ryan why it was for a completely different situation or him.

Back in 1992, when he presented for the first time, he was in a lot of pain. That is because he bought new shoes and there were really tight. That caused his feet to swell. What could he do? He was stuck wearing them during the five-hour show and when he presented an award with Sharon Stone.

Even though he was in so much pain, the show has to go on. He went up on stage, and since he is an actor, he tried to mask the pain. He did a good job, if you don’t know what was going on with him. However, when the actor points out that he was in so much agony that he shrugged his shoulders so high, he had no neck.

Hopefully, he will not wear new shows when he goes to Oscars on February 9th. He does not want his first chance of a win to be marred by Pain and Glory. Although, I think he would forget all about the pain if he won.

The moral of his story is never to wear new shoes for a big event. A lot of us have done it, and we learn never to do it again. At least we hope we do.

Back in late January, there were rumors that Antonio Banderas was hospitalized with chest pains. On January 30th, his rep confirmed the hospitalization, but said he was “released that same day after doctors performed a check-up which confirmed his good health.”

Yesterday at the Malaga Spanish Film Festival, he told the press he suffered a heart attack on January 26th. The cardiac episode did not cause any lasting damage, but he did say, “I underwent an operation where they implanted three stents in my coronary arteries, and since I had suffered from arrhythmia for quite some time, I underwent thermoablation, but it wasn’t as dramatic as they say.”

Thankfully, now the actor is on the mend and looking as healthy as ever.

Rumors were circulating overnight that Antonio Banderas was hospitalized after experiencing chest pains while working out in London and today the actor and his rep explained what happened. His publicist told People, “We can confirm that last Thursday Antonio was admitted to hospital after having experienced chest pain while exercising. However, Antonio was released that same day after doctors performed a check-up which confirmed his good health.”
