Which former Idol contestant is jealous of Jennifer Hudson |

CLAY AIKEN made an appearance on "Good Morning America" Thursday to promote UNICEF's public awareness campaign for Child Survival 2007, and the "American Idol" runner-up also revealed which former contestant gets his vote! "I'm jealous," Clay lightheartedly replied when asked about JENNIFER HUDSON. "There was a point I was considered the most successful 'Idol' loser, but now I'm not anymore. I saw the movie ['Dreamgirls'] and she deserves the Academy Award," he added. "Now I'm going to be in second place again." The singing sensation wants to use his fame to help others, and is a dedicated advocate for children's causes, such as UNICEF's mission to provide health, education, equality and protection for children across the globe. "We want to get people involved," Clay said of his role with the organization.

At least he is honest about it, unlike Fantasia!

Clay Aiken is looking for A Thousand Different Ways to take on the tabloids? |

Clay Aiken is giving the finger — oops, make that a hand — to the tabloids. The “American Idol” runner-up is so miffed about what he says are fabricated tales and pics involving his sex life that he’s invited fans to do a little creative writing about him. “It seems over the past few weeks, the tabloids and gossip mongers have had their hands full coming up with new and exciting ‘scandals’ for me to be a part of. Yet, for all of their efforts to be on the ‘cutting edge’ and the forefront of bull—- journalism, it seems that some of them may be running out of ideas and resorting to recycling and re-hashing some of their older tall tales,” Aiken recently wrote on his blog. “With this in mind, we thought maybe we would try to give them a finger… er… a hand.” The “Invisible” singer then invites fans to “Build-Your-Own-Scandal.” He explains: “Come up with the most outlandish story you can that places me (either alone or with others close to me) in a really juicy, tawdry, scandalous, shameful story. Then, use any photos, videos, audio clips of me that you can find along with your favorite multimedia enhancing/‘doctoring’ program (like a Photoshop or a sound/video editor) to create your ‘evidence’! Maybe you have ‘pictures’ of me being ‘abducted by oversized turnips’ or ‘video’ of me ‘dancing with a three-legged gorilla.’ Be creative!”
Scoop
OK, let's help him! What are some of the scandals you can come up with for him… I will be boring because it is way too early morning for me…but I will say he is the secret love child of Barry Manilow and Bette Midler! Can you not see that? He has his demeanor and her hair color? Or he comes forward as the father of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter Dannielynn?

Taylor Hicks is American Idol’s biggest diva |

Who’s the biggest diva on “American Idol?” If an award were given to the person who throws the most hissyfits, temper tantrums, and exhibits the most out-of-control behavior, looks like the prize would go to contestant Taylor Hicks. But, according to the anecdotes compiled by Star, judge Paula Abdul holds her own in the diva department. “The minute Taylor made the top 24, he became difficult and he seemed to get worse over time,” a source told the tab. All the male contestants on the show became friends — except Hicks. “He was conceited and cold,” according to the insider. “Once he was in the top eight, I think he no longer wanted to be on the show.” Some examples cited by Star: when in the top ten, Taylor didn’t want a bodyguard to accompany him to the men’s room as required and reportedly told one to “[bleep] off,” he refused to go to photo shoots, and he wouldn’t speak to others in the show’s green room. Paula Abdul’s diva antics include being followed around by three hair stylists, periodically having one of them carry her pampered pooch, and going through a slew of assistants. “She seems really difficult,” an “insider” told Star. “She’s had a ton of assistants in five seasons.”
Scoop
I had heard last year that Katharine McPhee and him were the biggest divas on the show. Guess I wasn't the only one. Not only will Taylor go down as American Idol's biggest diva, looks like he will also be going down as the lowest selling American Idol winner. I say good riddance to him, his stupid dancing and grey hair.

Fantasia Barrino joining Broadway’s The Color Purple? |

E! Online reports that Fantasia Barrino may be the latest "American Idol" veteran to find work on Broadway. Barrino may be joining the cast of The Color Purple in the spring. She would play Celie, the role originated by Tony Award-winner LaChanze and now played by Jeannette Bayardelle. A four-time Grammy Award-nominee, Barrino won the third season of "American Idol." She is believed to have been a frontrunner for the role of Effie in the Dreamgirls film (the part ultimately went to fellow "American Idol" star Jennifer Hudson"). "Fantasia" is the 22 year-old's debut album.

Seriously they will put anyone on Broadway these days. Just like that purple outfit she is wearing it is a very bad idea.

Could Simon Cowell have killed Eddie Murphy’s singing career? |
January 15th, 2007 under American Idol 1-5, Eddie Murphy, Simon Cowell. [ Comments: none ]

IT turns out that SIMON COWELL hasn’t always been the Mr Nasty of pop. In a recent interview the X Factor creator told how he has always regretted not speaking out and putting an end to EDDIE MURPHY’S pop dreams. Simon was hired to help the love rat hit the high notes in the early 1980s and, in hindsight, wishes he had the nerve back then to tell the Beverly Hills Cop star he was terrible. The American Idol judge, who is famous for letting wannabes know exactly what he thinks on reality TV talent shows, was not quite as honest with Eddie. Simon says: "He was interested in making a record, so I flew to the east coast (of America), to his huge house, and I was very intimidated. "I thought it would be just the two of us and a hi-fi. But I ended up in a recording studio with about 20 nodders – a nodder is someone who gets paid to agree with the person paying him. "Eddie started to play some songs, which I hated, and I just didn’t know what to say. "Now I’d find it a lot easier. I would just say ‘I hate it’."
The Sun
Oh I wish he did because that was some painful music.
