Unforgettable has a new home and it suits it better!
November 27th, 2015 under A&E. [ Comments: none ]

CBS cancelled Unforgettable not once but twice, even though it is a really good, so A&E picked it up for its fourth season. Tonight at 8p, the procedural makes its debut on its network.
Carrie Wells (Poppy Montgomery) suffers from hyperthymesia and that means she can remember everything. She uses this gift as a detective and she has a 100% arrest rate. As much as she would love to be able to do the job by herself, she can’t. That means she has a partner, someone she worked with in Syracuse. Al Burns (Dylan Walsh) moved to NYC and Carrie ran him into one day. Ever since they have been working together, first for a local police department and now Major Crimes in Manhattan. Not only do they spend their days together, they also share the nights.
So what will happen when he finds out that she has husband? Tonight’s season premiere picks up where the 3rd season finale left off, and Carrie’s mysterious husband is looking for her. As soon as they meet up, we find out why he came out of hiding and what type of marriage they had. Basically, he is there for Carrie to help him with a case of his from Florida. Just when they think they solved it, there will be a new twist. Will they be able to solve it in time?
Then at 9p, Al and Carrie have to transport the most annoying witness (Rachel Dratch) to Florida, and she is working against them. To make matter worse, she can’t fly, so they have to drive her down the Sunshine State and they are trapped in the car with her for the long haul. Will they get their safely? Or will they kill her themselves?
Alani “La La” Anthony joins the show as a Medical Examiner and E.J. Bonilla is a young detective who is excited to work with Carrie and Al.
Undateable is even better than it was on CBS because they can be a little riskier than they were on broadcast TV. They can now use the S word when they are getting shot at and that makes it more realistic.

The Returned comes to life tonight
March 9th, 2015 under A&E. [ Comments: none ]

The Returned debuts on A&E tonight and it is worth checking out. The drama is something we’ve seen before, but that doesn’t mean it is not worth watching.
The Returned is based on a French version of the show and it is about a small town where the dead are suddenly coming back to life. It sounds a lot like ABC’s Resurrection and it should because it feels the same. There are differences and that is why I say it is worth watching.
Teenager Camille (India Ennenga) is the first person to return and the series starts with her death four years beforehand. She was on a school trip when the bus she was on crashes through a guardrail and goes down a mountain, killing everyone on board. She suddenly wakes up years later with no memory and returns home. Her parents (Mark Pellegrino and Tandi Wright) have split since her death and they are reunited when she returns. Camille has a twin sister, who did not go on the school trip, and she no longer looks like her sister. Not only don’t Lena (Sophie Lowe) and Camille look alike, the twin wants nothing to do with her returned sister. Tonight’s episode is about her story and by the end of the episode you find out what really happen when the bus crashed and what ties it has to another Returned.
Another one of the Returned is Simon (Mat Vairo), and he died on his wedding day. He wants to be reunited with his fiancee Rowan (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) but she has moved on and wants nothing to do with him.
Then there is Julie (Sandrine Holt), a doctor, who finds a boy (Dylan Kingwell) on her way home. She takes in the 8 year old, but he doesn’t say much. She doesn’t know who he is and what his ties to the town are, but soon she will find out.
The town slowly watches their loved ones come back to life each week and now they will have to find out why they are back.

Unforgettable just won’t die!
February 7th, 2015 under A&E. [ Comments: none ]

Unforgettable was cancelled not once, but twice by CBS. The unforgettable drama has found a new home, and that place is A&E according to The Hollywood Reporter. No word when the fourth season will air or if they will have to once again hide another one of Poppy Montgomery’s pregnancy, time will tell on those answers.
While me may not know that information, we know this is great news. CBS messed up by cancelling this show for a second time because it was the strongest drama they had on the air during the summer.
Hopefully A&E will give this police procedural about a woman who never forgets anything the respect it deserves.

Wahlburgers is wicked good!
January 22nd, 2014 under A&E, Marky Mark, NKOTB. [ Comments: none ]

We know who Donnie Wahlberg and his younger brother, Mark are. Well tonight at 10:30p, we will get to know their mother, Alma, and their old brother, Paul, who owns Wahlburgers.
Wahlburgers, is a successful restaurant in Boston that Paul manages and his brothers help fund. Their mother, Alma, helps to run Alma Nove, Paul’s other restaurant, which is less than a block from the burger joint. Paul goes back and forth between the two and his mother is worried it is too much for her son. She decides to get him a assistant and he hires her because he knows not to defy his mom.
Especially if he wants to remain her favorite. Although she tells Donnie and Mark that they are her favorite too. I enjoy this part of the show because it is so sweet. No matter how old, rich or famous they get, they still act like the little boys they were in Dorchester trying to win their mom’s affection over from their brothers.
While the show is mostly about Wahlburgers, it’s also about getting to know The Wahlbergs. They are much different than the tough guys we see them play and because of that you will adore this show and them a little more.
Wahlburgers is one of the rare reality shows that actually gets it right, but then again with Donnie and Mark’s producing track records, it would be hard for them to mess it up!
The only negative, is there is not enough Nacho on the show for my likings.
Tune in tonight and every Wednesday, so you can get to know a different side of The Wahlbergs on Wahlburgers.

Bang bang, Bonnie & Clyde shoot their way on to our TV’s tonight!
December 8th, 2013 under A&E, Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

We all know the names Bonnie & Clyde, but do you know their story? Well tonight and tomorrow at 9p on Lifetime, A&E and History, their tale is being told and you get to see why they are so legendary!
The two-part mini-series starts off with Clyde Barrow’s life before he met Bonnie Parker and her’s before she met him. He was always a bad boy and she always wanted to be star. So when these two meet, it was like bang bang this not going to be good for anyone else but them.
Shortly after their first meeting, he was sent off jail, but when he was freed Bonnie & Clyde were born. This telemovie takes you through their journey from robbing banks to eventually killing people, and finally how they lost their lives on during that fateful ambush on May 23, 1934. But there was a lot that happened in-between and those gaps are filled in tonight and tomorrow. Like how they got their name, the female reporter that covered their crime spree, the people that were part of their gang, the Texas Ranger that sought them out and their love story that was unlike any other. They were soul mates destined to be together and their story was meant to be told like it is told in this two-part television event.
Emile Hirsh and Holliday Grainger bring these infamous criminals to life and they are so believable that they transcend you back to 1930’s when the two people they are playing were very much alive. So tune in to see a miniseries that give their subject’s tale justice even if Bonnie & Clyde never really saw justice, tonight and tomorrow at 9p on Lifetime, A&E and History.
