Mario Batali’s goose is cooked at The Chew
December 15th, 2017 under ABC. [ Comments: none ]

It has been an awful week for Chefs at ABC. First ABC, suspended Mario Batali from The Chew over sexual misconduct claims as the investigated the allegations. Then, they cancelled this season of The Great American Baking Show over sexual harassment claims against Johnny Iuzzini. Now, that they have finished their investigation, they have decided to part ways with Batali too.

An ABC spokesperson released a statement to Entertainment Weekly, “Upon completing its review into the allegations made against Mario Batali, ABC has terminated its relationship with him and he will no longer appear on The Chew. While we remain unaware of any type of inappropriate behavior involving him and anyone affiliated with our show, ABC takes matters like this very seriously as we are committed to a safe work environment and his past behavior violates our standards of conduct.”

All I have to say is Thank Gd Gordon Ramsay is on Fox because I do not know how I would handle if he too was accused and cancelled.

When it comes to ABC, they did the right thing. We cannot keep rewarding sexual harassers.

The Great Holiday Baking Show’s Johnny Iuzzini has been accused of sexual misconduct by 4 different women at his restaurants and because of that ABC is pulling the plug on this season’s remaining episode of the family friendly cooking competition show.

ABC explained their decision to Variety in a statement, “In light of allegations that recently came to our attention, ABC has ended its relationship with Johnny Iuzzini and will not be airing the remainder of The Great American Baking Show episodes. ABC takes matters such as those described in the allegations very seriously and has come to the conclusion that they violate our standards of conduct. This season’s winner will be announced at a later date.” Repeats will air in its old timeslot.

The Librarians are back on call and Speechless gets into the Christmas spirit
December 13th, 2017 under ABC, Cedric Yarbrough, Jerry O'Connell/Rebecca Romijn, Speechless, TNT/TBS/TCM. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 8p on TNT, The Librarians is finally back with two all-new episodes to save the world. Not from Donald Trump, but from magical artifacts falling into the wrong hands.

For example, during the 4th season premiere, someone has unearth one of the four cornerstones from the Library of Alexandria. If someone finds all four stones before Eve (Rebecca Romijn), Flynn (Noah Wyle), Jacob (Christian Kane), Ezekiel (John Harlan Kim) and Cassandra (Lindy Booth) do, then their library will be destroyed. Time is of the essence, and they have one major problem, they don’t know where any of the stones are hidden and there is no map detailing their location.

Thankfully, Jenkins (John Larroquette) knows someone who might be able to help them, since she hid the stones. But there is something else about her, she used to be Flynn’s old guardian before Eve and they also had love connection. Oh and Flynn thought she was dead. What will that mean for the future of Fleve? Especially since your saw their wedding in that sneak peek. But I have said too much.

The Librarians is the perfect mix of Sci-Fi, adventure and comedy all rolled into one show that you can watch with your family. How many shows like this can you do that with? And wait until you see next week’s Christmas themed episode.

Then at 8:30p but over on ABC, it is time for a DiMeo Christmas on Speechless. When Jimmy (John Ross Bowie) and Maya (Minnie Driver) are woken up by Dylan’s (Kyla Kenedy) snake, they did not know about, the family decides they want a dog. Well everyone but JJ (Micah Fowler), who would have to get the pup as a service dog since they are not allowed to own any animals at the house they are renting. He is busy with his film class, so he does not have time for a dog. Dylan goes behind his back to get the dog and when JJ finds out, he tells her he is going to get r-e-revenge on her. She is afraid, she is very afraid and she should be.

Also afraid of something is their brother, Ray (Mason Cook), wants to introduce his mom to his girlfriend’s mom. Taylor’s (Sedona James) mom (Sarah Chalke) and Maya have a history causing friction for everyone. Is this is the end of Raylor?

Finally, Kenneth (Cedric Yarbrough) makes the mistake of telling Jimmy that the store he is moonlights at is giving away free turkeys. Kenneth accidentally tells Jimmy how to break the system, so that he can get as many of the frozen bird as he wants. Kenneth knows it is a mistake because he knows the DiMeos, he just doesn’t realize how much of one until he opens the freezer door and several of them fall out of there since turkeys cannot fly. Why does Jimmy need all of those turkeys, you will just have to tune in to see.

Speechless is not your normal family show because the DiMeos are not perfect people, but they are the perfect family for each other. At the end of the day they take care of each other and that is a big part of making a good family sitcom. That and a lot of laughs, which every week they deliver. And the biggest selling point is they treat JJ like he is a normal kid and not like one who has Cerebral Palsy, and that alone makes this show very special to me with everything else is just grave on top.

Jessica’s Christmas goes down faster than the Titanic on Fresh Off the Boat
December 12th, 2017 under ABC, Constance Wu, Paula Abdul. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 8:30p on ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat, it is Christmastime 1997. Do you remember what movie came out that holiday? One word, Titanic, and Louis wants to see it. Only problem is no one wants to go see it with him, so he goes by himself. While he is there, he runs into Honey (Chelsey Crisp), his wife’s BFF who also has no one to see it with. They go to see the movie together, but don’t tell anyone they did. Now Honey’s husband, Marvin (Ray Wise), thinks his wife is having an affair and asks his best friend Louis who she is sneaking away to the movies with. What will he do?

Meanwhile, Jessica (Constance Wu) is the head of her neighborhood Christmas Caroling group and they don’t want her in charge. They hire Holly (Paula Abdul) to replace her and she kicks Jessica out because she does not have Christmas spirit. When her youngest son, Evan (Ian Chen) calls her out in it, it breaks her heart. What will she do?

Jessica’s other two sons, Eddie (Hudson Yang) and Emory (Forrest Wheeler) are trying to help their next door neighbor, Nicole (Luna Blaise), get a date with the barrister she has a crush on at this new place called Starbucks. Will she be able to land the girl with the help from her friends?

All of this leads to some sweet surprises and someone getting the perfect Christmas gift. And we get the gift another Huang Christmas! What more can you ask for tonight?

Does this video make you want to date Speechless’ Cedric Yarbough?
December 6th, 2017 under ABC, Cedric Yarbrough, Speechless. [ Comments: none ]

Cedric Yarbough recorded this video of him lip synching and dancing to Annibale E I Cantori Moderni’s Trinity (Titoli) and said this with the video, “(Yes, I’m bored. Someone date me.)” Therefore, does this video make you want to date the actor who leaves you Speechless every week? I say yes because that makes him a triple threat and who doesn’t love a triple threat?

Want to see him win his way to your heart through your stomach (by causing you belly laughs), then watch him on Speechless tonight and every Wednesday at 8:30p on ABC.
