ABC is changing up their schedule

ABC has had a weak fall lineup, so they are changing things up for the spring. Just be happy we have DVRs because there are so many changes. The thing I hate most about the new lineup is that A Million crappy Little Things is making me wait until March for new episodes of Station 19. I get they like the depressing show, but why do I have to suffer. On a positive note, at least they believe in Whiskey Cavalier to air it on Wednesdays.

8:30-9:00 p.m. “Schooled” (SERIES PREMIERE)

Is Dan moving on on The Conners? Black-ish goes to the movies!
December 11th, 2018 under ABC, Anthony Anderson, John Goodman, Roseanne. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 8p on The Conners, an old friend (Katey Sagal) comes to town and she eyes on Dan (John Goodman). Is he ready to move on Roseanne? How will his kids react to a woman flirting with their dad?

Meanwhile on the ABC sitcom, Harris (Emma Kenney) gets busted by the cops for underage drinking, and Becky (Lecy Goranson) is the one that is home when the police bring her home. They promise not to tell Darlene (Sara Gilbert) about it, but she finds out anyway. What happens next might put a permanent wedge between the two sisters.

Finally, who did Matthew Broderick piss off to get this role? I understand that they want to give Laurie Metcalf something to do, but this is just awful.

Then at 9p on Black-ish, it is Christmas at the Johnson household. They celebrate by going to movies. Bo (Tracee Ellis Ross) will see anything. The kids want to see the latest comic book movie. Dre (Anthony Anderson), on the other hand, wants to see the Rosa Parks biopic because he thinks his family should support African American movies.

Who do you think wins? After a long debate, Dre wins and his family loses. How will they get out of it? You have to watch the episode to see the takeaway lesson.

ABC picks up Agents of SHIELD for a 7th season before the 6th one airs
November 16th, 2018 under ABC. [ Comments: none ]

ABC announced today that they picked up Agents of SHIELDS for a 7th season ahead of the 6th one that is slated to air this summer. Which makes me think that this upcoming season is so good with a cliffhanger so great they had no choice but to pick it up even if the numbers are really awful. But in the summer awful can be good. We shall see/

ABC parts way with their Entertainment head and replaces her with Freeform’s
November 16th, 2018 under ABC. [ Comments: none ]

ABC has had disastrous fall. Even The Conners is back down to reality ratings. Therefore, it should be no surprise that they decided to part ways with the President of Entertainment Channing Dungey. They are replacing her Karey Burke, who runs Freeform.

Burke, in my opinion, is worse because Freeform is also in bad shape. Plus, she cancelled Young & Hungry, Baby Daddy and Chasing Life without giving them proper goodbyes. Even though the shows were still doing well in the ratings and replaced them with shows no one is watching.

I don’t know how she will turn ABC around, but I wish her luck because out of all of the networks they support sitcoms. Hopefully, she will continue to do the same.

Is ABC Splitting Up Together with the Kids Are Alright?
November 7th, 2018 under ABC. [ Comments: none ]

ABC debuted 7 new shows this fall and today the final one found out its fate. That show is Kids Are Alright that got the bottom nine bringing their total to 22 episodes. The frosh was not the only show to get additional episodes today. Splitting Up Together was asked to do 5 more episodes.

The two sitcoms join (with their total episodes for the season) The Conners, 11, A Million Little Things, 17, The Rookie, 20 and Single Parents, 22.

Wait, that is only six shows, so what is missing? ABC banished Alec Baldwin’s talk show was banished to Saturdays yesterday.
