Tonight’s ABC Family lineup will turn you into a Dancing Fool
May 29th, 2013 under Freeform. [ Comments: none ]

The yucks are back on ABC Family tonight with the hilarious Baby Daddy at 8:30p. Last summer’s biggest hit get even bigger and funnier this season. The episode picks up shortly after the season finale and Ben (Jean-Luc Bilodeau) realizes he might have feelings for Riley (Chelsea Kane), but does she realize that he finally does? And now that Ben has feelings for her, does that mean that his brother Danny (Derek Theler) is ready to give up his secret crush on her? I know who I want to wind up with her, but that doesn’t mean it will happen. Especially if she starts seeing someone else. But I just got ahead of myself.
Oh and did I mention that someone uses baby Emma to land a date and they come home with the wrong kid when the night is done? Do you think it is Riley, Ben, Danny, Tucker (Tahj Mowry) or Bonnie (Melissa Peterman) who screws up big time? I am not going to tell you, you will have tune into find out and to laugh louder than you did last season!

But first at 8p Melissa (Joan Hart) & Joey (Lawrence) is back and Joe is looking for a new job. But is Melissa ready to let him go? Something will happen that might change Joe’s decision, but is it too late? You will have tune in for the funny episode to find out.
BTW ABC Family renewed Melissa & Joey for a fourth season yesterday, so they ain’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Finally at 9:30p Melissa Peterman hosts Dancing Fools and this show will turn you into one. The show consists of clips of people dancing foolishly kind of like America’s Funniest Videos does with people just doing foolish things in general. But this show differs because two of the dancing groups featured in the videos that air will compete on the show and then the audience picks who wins the dance-off. The winner of the challenge gets $10,000 while the loser got to dance on national TV.
If you love watching people make fools of themselves dancing, then you are going to love this show. And let’s be real we all love to watch those videos on YouTube, so you know you are going to want to check out this show tonight at every Tuesday. Just like you are going to want to watch Baby Daddy and Melissa and Joey at 8p and 8:30p on ABC Family every Tuesdays.
Whoever says there is nothing to watch on Tuesdays during summer, never watched ABC Family Tuesday night lineup.

Lea Thompson’s legs are some kind of wonderful!
May 15th, 2013 under Freeform, Lea Thompson. [ Comments: none ]

Fame Flynet
Lea Thompson attended the Star Trek: Into the Darkness premiere in a short hot pink dress that shows us she still has all the right moves. Even though she is 51 years old, her gams would still make Howard the Duck go quack, quack!

Baby Daddy gets a 3rd season pick up before the 2nd one even airs!
March 22nd, 2013 under Baby Daddy, Freeform. [ Comments: none ]

ABC Family announced today that Baby Daddy will be back for a third season even though the second season won’t debut for another two months (March 29th). Can’t say I blame the network for jumping the gun because the comedy is the best show to join their lineup in a really long time.
Each episode is full of laughs and what more can you ask for a sitcom? Plus any show that has Melissa Peterman in it deserves to stay on the air as long as it can.
Now the interesting part of the renewal is what will they do with the baby? Hopefully they will let her age with the show and not do a Modern Family.

Daren Kagasoff says fans will be happy with Secret Life’s series finale!
March 18th, 2013 under Daren Kagasoff, Freeform, The Secret Life of an American Teenager. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 8p on ABC Family the final season of The Secret Life of an American Teenager begins. I was recently on a conference call with Daren Kagasoff and he talked about what it was like being on the show. The bad boy turned good guy also previewed what we can expect during the final episodes of the show that launched the network’s original programming.
Did you know that Kagasoff did not want to be an actor until months before he landed the job that changed his life? Here’s his story on that, “Well, I never knew I wanted to be an actor until maybe six months before I got the job, so it just has taught me you’ve got to work so hard for the things that you want in life, and things don’t come easy.” The he added, “And you can see it through the characters that were on Secret Life, whether certain things that happened in their lives they have to conquer and overcome. And as people, as myself speaking about me, there’s a lot of obstacles in this business and in life in general, so from the show I just got keep your head up high, work hard, be respectful, polite, and good things will come.”
So will good things come from the series finale? When asked if he’s happy with the series’ ending, he said “Very happy, very happy. I think the fans will be happy too.” Whatever happens during that episode definitely left an impression with him. When he was asked what was his most memorable day on the show, he said “Probably the last day of shooting. We shot a lot of intense scenes, and to wrap up the show the way we did. I’ll never forget it. And all of the people that were there that day, you just don’t forget those types of moments, and thankfully I’m going to have that for the rest of my life, so probably the last day of shooting.” So what will happen between now and then, he teased us with “Many questions will get answered, that’s all pretty much I can say. I know everybody wants Amy and Ricky to end up together, and I guess you guys will see if that happens.” Does anyone think they won’t be getting married and living happily ever after?
Now his character has gone through the most changes. He went from troubled teen who was sleeping with any girl that said yes to being a responsible dad who only makes love to the woman who said yes when he asked her to marry him. So as he looks back at Ricky, here is what he said about his character’s growth “In the beginning, when Secret Life first started Ricky was just a high school kid that didn’t really take any responsibility for his actions, and was just was kind of floating through life. And ever since he had John (his son) with Amy (his fiancee) things changed drastically, and I think he made the most positive decisions in his life to put his son first and his girlfriend first priority. So I’m very pleased with what the writers did with my character from the beginning to the end. I think he’s made a full circle and it was a pleasure to play and hopefully the fans will like to see that.”
Well if you are like me then you can’t wait to see it every Monday at 8p on ABC Family to see how it all ends. You also wish this show wasn’t saying goodbye because it is really important show for teens to watch and also to enjoy.
Now when it comes to what is next for him, he is working on a Fox pilot. Whether Delirium is a go or not, I am sure his acting career will go into a delirium state now that he is a free agent.

Melissa Peterman’s son is jealous of her Baby Daddy granddaughter!
August 29th, 2012 under 70s, Baby Daddy, Freeform, Melissa Peterman. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight is sadly the season finale of Baby Daddy on ABC Family at 8:30p, but thankfully it will be back with new episodes soon. A few weeks ago I spoke to one of my favorite funny ladies Melissa Peterman, who plays the mother of the Baby Daddy and we talked about the show. She told me, “I am so proud of what we did in 10 episodes. That is like a really short amount of time to flesh out the story. These writers are so good about feeling the chemistry of the cast and writing towards us. So I am super proud.” She then added, “I am really proud and I feel like they really set a great foundation to tell more stories.”
There was one story that was told last week and I really hope it will continue in future episodes. Greg Grunberg guest starred on the show as Bonnie’s(Peterman) ex-husband aka the baby’s grandfather. Now I know at first the mother of a 6 year old was a little hesitant about playing a grandmother, but then she realized the benefits of being a young grandmother. So I asked her how Grunberg reacted to playing a grandfather on the show, she said “I think he embraced it like I did. You know what you are going to be hottest grandma and grandpa or at least ones that can drive at night. He enjoyed it. He was a good sport and I have a little bit more of a crush on him now then I did before.” And I am sure he feels the same way, how could you not like this very funny lady.
She told me she enjoyed working with a crush, now I want to know what scenes she liked filming this season. She said, “My favorite scene is with Derek when he is shirtless. I kept breaking during that scene because it is so hard…he looks like he is chiseled out from marble. I love scenes with Taj because we have a very good chemistry and we make each other laugh a lot. Chelsea makes me laugh, they all do.” It is nice to hear that not only does the cast make us laugh, but that they make each other laugh too.
There is one critic she really wants to make laugh and that is her son. When I asked if he watches, she told me “Wiley is 6. He just discovered the reruns of Reba and he thinks they are really funny. He was little when we were making them. But this one he loves the show. Although he gets a little jealous about the baby. He says ‘Whose that baby?’ I’m like ‘That’s Ally and that’s Suzy. That’s not my baby.’ He’s like ‘why you holding that baby so much?’ He’s six and he really doesn’t want to be carried around any more but yet it’s kind of sweet to have him act like that. He thinks the show is very funny.” She then told me what about the show always make her little boy laugh, “He always laughs at the title. He and his little friend go Baby Daddy and they giggle because they think it is hilarious.” If they only knew what it meant…
And one thing I do mean is that Baby Daddy is ABC Family’s best comedy so far, so if you are not watching it you are missing out on a hilarious show with a funny cast. So why not start watching it tonight and then catch up on the other episodes on ABCFamily.com. I promise you will laugh as hard as her son when he says “Baby Daddy”!
