Avengers: Endgame is the highest-grossing movie internationally. Everywhere you turn, there is a Superhero image in plain sight. What would happen if Superheroes were real? Instead of being fictional characters in entertainment, the real versions of them are starring in movies about them. That is the basic premise of The Boys that is streaming now on Amazon.
There are seven of them who are revered by the world. However, if you knew them, then you might have a completely different opinion of them. They are human and they are dysfunctional.
Huey (Jack Quaid) is a normal guy who envies them like everyone else. That is until A-Train (Jessie Usher), the fastest man on Earth, smashes into his girlfriend, totally obliterating her. Now, he wants revenge on the Seven.
He won’t be alone. Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) hates them even more than Huey. Butcher recruits Huey to join his group whose mission is to destroy all of the Seven. By the end of the first episode, they will have their first victim.
A-Train has no regrets for killing Huey’s girlfriend. In fact, she is not the first and won’t be the last. A-Train is a flawed human, but not as much as Homelander (Antony Starr). He let the fame go to head. His is more about helping himself than anyone else. He will do anything to look good, including let people die. He is like Trump.
Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott) is over it all. It is novel at first, but now she is done with all. Unlike Starlight (Erin Moriarty) who is the newest member. She is thrilled about joining the Seven. Although she will not follow all the rules and that will get her in trouble.
Chace Crawford is the good looking one, and he uses his looks to get the ladies. That will get him in trouble because he is a pre-#MeToo type of guy. Finally, there is Translucent (Alex Hassell) who can make himself invisible. There is a great scene where he gets into a fight with someone. I never thought I would enjoy watching someone fight with an invisible person, but I love it!
In the 8 episodes, it is good vs bad. But who is who? You will just have to tune in to see. I am so over the goody-two-shoes superheroes. I like when they are living like real people on shows like this and Doom Patrol. Forget Justice League and Avengers, give me more of The Boys! Which was already picked up for a second season.

Today is National Joke Day and CBS asked the cast of The Neighborhood to tell their favorite jokes. Max Greenfield went first followed by Tischina Arnold and finally Beth Behrs. Cedric the Entertainer, who is one of the Kings of Comedy, just announced when their sitcom will premiere.
If the show is anything like their jokes, it will be cancelled before a cow can say moo. But since I have seen the pilot, I can say it is better than their jokes. Thankfully! It was my favorite new comedy of the fall season.

This Saturday, 2 Broke Girls Beth Behrs and her mad man Michael Gladis finally got married at the Moose Creek Ranch in Victor, Idaho.
According to Martha Stewart Weddings, the bee-ride loves bees so much that it was the theme of their wedding from the invitations to their reception that included a honey-flavored cake. In fact, the guests went home with a jar of honey from the couple’s beehive. No word if her bee-oss of her #BeeKind webseries, Ellen DeGeneres, shared their bee-ig day. Or who else was at their nuptials.
The couple started dating at the beginning of the decade and got engaged 2 years ago.
Behrs will be playing a married woman in The Neighborhood starting on October 1st on CBS.
Jean Smart and Tom Bergeron were photographed in bed together looking oh so cute, so do they have something to tell us? Like did she sleep with him so that she can be a contestant on Dancing with the Stars? Nope! They want to let us know that they are filming a movie together called The Messenger.
Now who else is wondering how many “stars” offered to have sex with him so that can be on the ABC dancing competition show? It is Hollywood after all!
Tonight is the season finale for 2 Broke Girls on CBS at 9:30p and there is no word yet if it will be back for a seventh season. Looks like the show’s star Kat Dennings is looking for other work opportunities just in case the sitcom doesn’t get picked up. Here she is working as a manicurist, so has the 2 Broke Girl hit hard times? We do not know because here is what she said about the photo, “Nail tips and gel polish on my first client. I work holidays because hustlers never take a day off 💅🏻”
Seriously though, I think she having a fun girls day with a friend and is not doing nails for a living. Although, if she is, I will go to her! Granted I am surprised, she did not opt to be a waitress instead because she has been playing one for the last 6 years and you would think she picked something up by working on the show after all of these years.
