Yesterday, Fox talked to reporters about next season, but someone wanted to know about the show from seasons past.
Which was it? It was So You Think You Can Dance. “Obviously, a really important show in the history of Fox, and right now, there’s no plans to order another season.” Michael Thorn, President of FOX Television, told reporters, including Variety. ”And you know, we’ve had conversations about it, but nothing formal.”
The dance competition was a summer staple for 18 seasons, but has not been on Fox’s dance floor since 2024. That year was controversial because the creator and judge Nigel Lythgoe was accused of sexual harassment by several women, including Paula Abdul. He was replaced by JoJo Siwa.
Fox announced their schedule for next season, and the Baywatch reboot is not swimming onto their Fall schedule. Instead, they will have only one night of scripted television, and that night is Tuesday, with Doc and Best Medicine. The rest is unscripted and sports.

Additional programming to be announced.
Stewie and Highway to Heaven are being held until the 2027-2028 season.
This is the week when the broadcast networks (minus CBS, which couldn’t wait) announce their schedules for the next season, and NBC got it started.
The Rockford Files, headlined by David Boreanaz, might be their most buzzworthy new scripted series, but they are holding it until the midseason. However, the drama Line of Fire and comedy Newlyweds will debut in the Fall.
I said the Rockford reboot is their biggest scripted new series because the civilian version of The Traitors should be a mega hit! I am more interested in this take than the “celebrity” version, and I am sure I am not alone.
What are you most looking forward to?

Josh Groban proposed to his girlfriend, Natalie McQueen, at Disneyland on April 21st, so I guess he is obligated to do whatever Disney Parks asks him to do.
Case in point. The singer recently sat down on their Teacups ride and answered a few questions for Disney Teacups Confessions.
Did you know that every day he sings one song, and it is one of the tunes on Stages? Which one is it? Use your imagination, as in your Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
While that is from one of his past records, what is his favorite single from his brand-new CD, Cinematic, which came out on Friday? It is Moon River because his dad, 80, played trumpet on it. The proud son cannot wait for us to hear how amazing he sounds.
Who from the Disney world (not Disney World) would he love to sing a duet with? His answer is goofy because it is fellow baritoner Goofy. Use your pure imagination to imagine what that would sound like.
That would be a childhood dream come true for him. Iff he could give his younger self any advice, what would it be? “Be kind to yourself.” Then he explained, “I was a stressed out kid. I would say, ‘Hey, at some point you are going to be doing an interview on the Teacups. Life is good!”
If only we could go back in time and tell ourselves that, our teenage years would have been so much better than they were.
