The Sphere in Las Vegas has been following the Yellow Brick Road with screenings of The Wizard of Oz in their theater in the round for over a year.
But next year, they are going to do the Pelvic Thrust as they take the audience on a Time Warp to the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Jim Dolan, Executive Chairman and CEO of Sphere Entertainment, said: “Through Sphere Studios, we are building a slate of original experiences that push the boundaries of technology and storytelling for this new medium, while always keeping the audience at the center of the experience. Since The Rocky Horror Picture Show premiered in 1975, it redefined audience participation and became a cultural phenomenon. With Sphere, we have the opportunity to take that spirit of immersion to an entirely new level.”
I think seeing the movie there is going to be just as exciting as the first time you lost your Rocky Horror virginity at a midnight screening. I still remember my first time, and unlike that other first time, I enjoyed it and didn’t want it to end. And it hasn’t! It has only gotten better with time.
So, how much anticip-ation do you have for the one-of-a-kind movie experience? Well, it is a different way to try out something familiar.
And the best part about it being in Las Vegas is that no one is going to question all the men walking around dressed like Dr. Frank-N-Furter. I mean, how can you not dress up? It is part of the magic!
And I really hope that they invite the surviving cast to the inaugural screening that would really toucha, toucha, toucha me!
Before Mariska Hargitay saw some living nightmares on Law & Order: SVU, she was trying not to get killed while she was sleeping in Freddy’s Nightmares. The 24 year old was so believable in that 1988 episode.
Strange New Worlds is back next month with all-new episodes and adventures, and one will leave them savoring the moment. I cannot wait to see what it is, because they travel through time and across the universe. So what can make them stop and realize they need to pause because this is a one-time experience? We shall see when the Star Trek prequel’s fourth season premieres on July 23rd on Paramount+.
Also this season, the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise – led by Captain Christopher Pike – embark on a series of thrilling and emotional adventures across the stars. As they journey to strange new worlds, they will battle inner demons and external threats, encounter colorful new characters, reunite with familiar faces and confront terrifying aliens. Through it all, they strive to embrace a bright, hopeful future.
HBO Max announced today that The Pitt is back in production. But that is not all. The streamer also revealed in a video on social media which staff are back on duty.
The doctors and nurses who are reporting back to work at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital staff are: Dr. Michael Robinavitch (Noah Wyle), Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi (Sepideh Moafi), Nurse Leadder Dana Evans (Katherine LaNasa), Dr. Parker Ellis (Ayesha Harris), Dr. Cassie McKay (Fiona Dourif), Dr. Frank Langdon (Patrick Ball), Dr. Melissa King (Taylor Deardon), Dr. Trinity Santos (Isa Briones), Dr. Dennis Whitaker (Gerran Howell) and Dr. Victoria Javadi (Shabana Azeez), and Dr. Jack Abbot (Shawn Hatosy).
Am I the only one who is upset that James Ogilvie (Lucas Iverson) is not on that list? He was rightfully the most hated character of season 2, and that is why I want him back. However, I am not sure if I want his story to be one of redemption. I want it to be one where he is still just as arrogant and still making mistakes. Let’s be real. There are way too many doctors out there like that.
Jerry Seinfeld has a reputation, and it is not necessarily a good one. Well, Julia Louis Dreyfus shared a story about the final season of Seinfeld, and it is not helping things for him.
Did you know that the multi-Emmy winner was pregnant twice during the filming of the sitcom? The first time, the show hid her pregnancy with anything they could. The second time, they said fuck it.
Or so it seemed. Recently, when she was on the podcast Wiser Than Me with special guest host Jean Smart, she relived a conversation she had with her old boss: “When I was about four/five months pregnant, and just starting to show. Jerry came up to me, and he said, ‘You know, we have this idea, in the writers’ room, that maybe we will write it in, that Elaine is just getting fat.'”
Since she was hormonal, because she was pregnant, she cried. But every other woman who is not PMSing or pregnant is thinking, how hard can I punch him in the balls and explain to him in a way that he might be able to comprehend that was a very, very, very bad idea.
Hopefully, he learned his lesson before he said anything as asinine to his wife when she was pregnant with any of their three children. What a dumb ass. And that is why George was the one we all love and loved!
And good thing for Seinfeld, it was the final season. Had he not cancelled the series, I am sure things would have been awkward between the two.
