The internet was doing a mass prayer for Dolly Parton today, after her second-youngest sister, Freida, asked that we pray for the national treasure.
Freida wrote, “Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me. She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you! ❤️”
Obviously, that social media post worried almost everyone because Miss Dolly has been cancelling events outside of Nashville, including her upcoming Las Vegas residency, due to undisclosed health challenges, which require some procedures.
Well, after ten hours, and I am sure a lot of angry phone calls, Freida posted an update: “I want to clear something up. I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly. She’s been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer. It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister. Thank you all for lifting her up. Your love truly makes a difference.”
Therefore, we can all breathe a sigh of relief. Even though it is not serious, we should always pray for Dolly because the world is a better place with her in it.
And I hope that Freida is more careful about what she posts in the future because it is not nice to scare people. Well, it is good to scare others, but not over something like this.
Before Matt Dillon was a bad boy in The Outsiders, he was telling people to drink milk for good. He has not aged a day since he was 18 in that 1982 commercial. I think we know what his secret is, and it is drinking milk!
Sylvester Stallone is 17 years older than Matt Dillon. However, the latter is going to play the former’s father in I Play Rocky, a movie about how an unknown Sly brought the boxing classic to life.
Frank Stallone Sr. immigrated from Italy to the United States when he was a teenager. Sly said that the successful hairdresser was an abusive father, and he sought his approval while he was alive. So much so that he cast his father in a minor role in the Oscar-winning movie.
According to Deadline, Dillon is joining the previously announced cast, Stephan James as Carl Weathers, and AnnaSophia Robb will play Stallone’s first wife.
It sounds like they don’t have a Rocky, so who do you think should play him? I say Matt’s younger brother, Kevin, would be perfect! After all, Sly looked so much older than he was when he made Rocky, and the Entourage star looks so much younger than his years.
I don’t know about you, but I was upset that Scott Wolf was written off of Doc during the season finale. He was my favorite character on the medical drama, but I can say that about most of the series he is on.
Anyways, there are rumors that he will be making a comeback somehow. And today, he confirmed it on social media.
He said, “I could not be more excited to share that I will be coming back for season 2 of Doc on Fox. I cannot wait for you to see what’s coming. It is full of surprises.”
I just hope that one of those surprises is that the show gets rid of Felicity Huffman. She plays the same character in everything she does, and her whiny voice hurts my ears.
Are you also happy that we are getting more Wolfster?
Yesterday on Jeopardy, Ken Jennings asked Kate Kostelnik, Brian Dixon, and TJ Fisher a simple question for Final Jeopardy. And they all got it wrong.
What was it? The category was “TV 2025” and the question was, “The star of this new streaming drama said, ‘Nobody could gain a pound, lose a pound…we had to look exactly the same for 7 months.'”
Now, if they asked who said that, that would have been harder. However, it was so easy the way that it was written that even I guessed it correctly.
Still don’t know what the answer is? This episode was probably taped before the Emmys. So would it have helped had they said, “…this multi-Emmy-winning new streaming drama…”
Then you would know the answer is, “The Pitt.” It was well known that the series takes place during one emergency room shift. Therefore, that is why everyone had to look the same throughout the 15 episodes. Even though they treated patients really quickly. The timeline didn’t work. I mean, how are they going to handle a mass shooting with all of those patients in just 3 hours? They are not. But what do I know? I am just a viewer.
