The Chrisleys return to TV and play the victims
July 31st, 2025 under Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

Reality stars Todd and Julie Chrisley were doing 12 and 7 years, respectively, for fraud and tax crimes convictions. However, Donald Trump pardoned them in May, and they were set free.

Around that same time, Lifetime started working on a reality TV show with their daughter, Savannah. Therefore, that series just got a lot more interesting because they were then given exclusive access to the married couple as soon as they got the call that they were going home. And the network and the Chrisleys took advantage of the opportunity.

Savannah’s boring show was no longer just hers. Her parents were now part of it. And the filming continued. Something I am sure every Lifetime executive was doing backflips over.

Today, Lifetime revealed a trailer for The Chrisleys: Back to Reality. The series begins during the wake of the family’s controversy and upheaval with Todd and Julie in federal prison and follows the family as their parents are eventually pardoned, released from prison and return home. The series shows a side of the Chrisleys that has never been seen before with exclusive access to the family—Julie and Todd from prison and upon their release, Savannah, Chase, Grayson, Chloe, Nanny Faye, and for the first time, Julie’s parents Harvey and Pam.

In the trailer, we see the family portraying themselves as victims and claiming they are innocent.

Are they? Find out when The Chrisleys: Back to Reality premieres as a two-night event September 1st and 2nd at 8p. The remaining three episodes will air on September 9 and September 16th.

Justin Timberlake says he has Lyme Disease
July 31st, 2025 under Justin Timberlake. [ Comments: none ]

For the last few days, Justin Timberlake went viral for his lackluster performances during his concerts. He literally put the mic down and let the audience sing his songs for him. And he remained silent as he became a mockery on social media.

Today, he broke his silence and sang like a canary to explain why he can’t stop the feeling, but he can stop the singing during his final shows of his two-year tour.

He wrote: “Among other things, I’ve been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease -— which I don’t say so you feel bad for me –– but to shed some light on what I’ve been up against behind the scenes. If you’ve experienced this disease or know someone who has — then you’re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically. When I first got the diagnosis I was shocked for sure. But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness. I was faced with a personal decision. Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out. I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I’m so glad I kept going.”

Personally, I am glad he kept going too, not for his fans, but for myself. I never got his appeal, and I think he comes off as an overrated pompous jerk. So, I have enjoyed opening up TikTok this week and seeing all the people making fun of him. It was nice to see him get knocked down off of his high horse for a little bit.

The Librarians: The Next Chapter gets a visit from another Librarian
July 30th, 2025 under TNT/TBS/TCM. [ Comments: none ]

The Librarians: The Next Chapter started its new chapter on TNT with Christian Kane reprising his Jacob Stone. For the second season, he will be joined by his co-worker Cassandra Cillian (Lindy Booth), who comes to check out the European library.

The TNT spinoff debuted as the #1 new cable original drama season premiere of 2025, and it has kept its audience just like the original series, which ended its run in 2018.

The Next Chapter was originally picked up by The CW, but then they changed their mind. So, TNT, who got out of the scripted business and aired The Librarians, decided to save themselves and the Sci-Fi procedural with a two-season pickup.

Today, they announced the big names coming to play on the second season. The guest stars are Dominic Monaghan (Lost, The Lord of the Rings), Jeremy Swift (Ted Lasso, Downton Abbey), Josh Gates (host of Discovery Channel’s Expedition Unknown), Stefan Kapičić (Deadpool), Oliver Dench (Hotel Portofino, Pandora), Ty Tennant (House of the Dragon, War of the Worlds), Flula Borg (Pitch Perfect 2, The Rookie), Alan Emrys (Translations, Host), Malcolm Sinclair (Casino Royale, Andor), Reece Ritchie (The Lovely Bones, The Ark), Cat White (Ten Percent), Gledisa Arthur (Everyone Is Going to Die), Jack Cunningham-Nuttall (Loki, The Crown), Danny Rea (Kingdom), Luka Divac (Boys and Girls) and Alex Henry (Shenanigans, Serial Dater).

The first season finale airs on Monday. The second season will debut next year.
