NBC renewed all three Chicago shows. However, since they are getting long in the tooth, the cast salaries are getting higher and higher. But the shows are not making as much money. Therefore, not everyone will be back for the upcoming season.
Today, we found out the first person who is not checking into the first responder’s procedural. According to Deadline, LaRoyce Hawkins will not be returning for season 14 of Chicago PD. But since Kevin Atwater is an original character, the show will wrap up his character’s story in the first few episodes.
It is not known if this was his decision or the network’s.
Casting is underway for a Black cop who is an agent of chaos.
I expect that in the next few days, we will hear about more departures from the Dick Wolf Universe.
