Samuel L. Jackson has been leading movies for decades, but he has never led a TV show. That is until now. He has been cast in Sylvester Stallone’s Tulsa King spinoff, NOLA King, on Paramount+.
“Chris McCarthy came to me with a game-changing idea: to elevate my show beyond a mob boss series, creating a dynamic, family-driven franchise,” said Sylvester Stallone. “I was immediately on board. Sam Jackson is the only choice to anchor this new adventure in NOLA and David Glasser and 101 are the perfect partner to bring it to life.”
NOLA King follows Russell Lee Washington Jr. (Jackson) who, after befriending Dwight Manfredi (Stallone) during a ten-year stint in federal prison, is sent to Tulsa by New York’s Renzetti crime family to take Dwight out once and for all. Inspired by what Dwight created in Tulsa and impressed with the possibilities of second chances, Washington returns to New Orleans, the home he abandoned forty-years ago, to rekindle his relationship with his family and friends, and to take control of the city he left behind. In so doing, he incurs the wrath of his former employers in New York, and makes himself vulnerable to old NOLA foes, both criminal and cop.
We will meet Jackson’s character, Russell Lee Washington Jr., during the upcoming season of Tulsa King.
We are two months away from the start of the new broadcast television season. Today, ABC announced when their Fall shows will premiere.
The Fall season includes DWTS celebrating 20 years, Shark Tank without Mark Cuban, Ryan Seacrest taking over Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, a Bobby-less 9-1-1, and a new 9-1-1 taking a place in Nashville.

Soap Opera legend Tristan Rogers’ health has been questioned for the last few months, and today, his people revealed that he is battling cancer.
“Beloved Emmy-winning actor Tristan Rogers, best known for his role as Robert Scorpio on the daytime drama, General Hospital, is sharing with fans that he has been diagnosed with cancer,” the statement reads. “While he remains hopeful and is working closely with his medical team on a treatment plan, this is a challenging time for Tristan and his family. As they face both the emotional and physical burdens that come with this diagnosis, the family kindly asks for privacy and understanding. They are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support and love from their friends and family. Tristan sends his love to his fans and wants them to know how much he appreciates their loyalty and encouragement over the years. This support means more to him now than ever. Before he departed General Hospital in November, fans were worried about the 79-year-old actor’s health when it appeared that one side of his face seemed to be paralyzed. Then, a few weeks ago, there were rumors that he had passed away. Up until now, he has been quiet about his health.
Hopefully, he will beat this and be able to return as Robert Scorpio, a role he has been playing on and off since 1980, soon.
For most of Tahj Mowry’s adult life, he has kept his hair long on top. However, he decided he needed a change. So, he called his friend and went to ChatGPT to find out how to buzz his hair.
He had never cut his own hair before, so he was nervous before he took the shaver to his scalp. But as soon as he did, he was excited for the change that he had only decided to do an hour beforehand.
Once he got rid of all of the extra hair, he decided to go shorter and shorter, until he got it just right.
Throughout it all, he was smiling with excitement, and it is contagious to watch.
Especially when it was all done, after he showered and styled his hair, the 39-year-old actor went from looking like a boy to a man with this transformation. Therefore, I can’t wait to see what is next for his acting career with this new look. I am sure it is going to be career-changing.
