Did you know that Valerie Bertinelli dated Steven Spielberg?
April 15th, 2025 under Uncategorized. [ Comments: none ]

Just when we think that we know everything about Valerie Bertinelli, she still finds ways to surprise us.

Today, she did the impossible by not only shocking us, but she also left Drew Barrymore speechless.

The One Day at a Time actress revealed that she dated Steven Spielberg for a few months at the beginning of 1980. In fact, he took her to the Oscars and she got to meet Sally Field in the elevator right after she won Best Actress for Norma Rae. However, Bertinelli was too star-struck to say anything but congratulations.

Back to the former couple. How did they get together? She told Drew on her talk show today, “I went up to go read for ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark,’ and then he asked me out on a date. I know.”

She didn’t get the part, but she got to play with the director’s part.

The Hot in Cleveland star left a piece of herself behind, and she wants that bowling shirt back.

Hopefully, Barrymore can get it back for her. I mean, it has only been 45 years, I am sure he still has it!

In case you are doing the math. Bertinelli dated the director about a year and a half before Drew met the man who changed her life forever. And when it comes to the other math, she was 19 and he was 33.

Would you buy a room spray that smells like a Canadian NHL locker room?

CNW Group/Boston Pizza International Inc.

It has been 32 years since a Canadian hockey team won an NHL Championship. Boston Pizza wants them to bring the Stanley Cup up north before the tariffs kick in. Actually, they want their ice men to win!

So the pizza joint is releasing an air freshener to manifest a Canadian win. Champion Room Spray blends notes of bubbly champagne, Canadian lager, used hockey pucks, and the undeniable musk of sweaty hockey gear. I don’t know what those scents smell like, but I need a bottle.

“It’s been a long 32 years without a win north of the border,” says James Kawalecki, VP Marketing, Boston Pizza International. “Canadian hockey fans have followed every superstition and ritual to end our drought but it’s time we do something different. This year, we need to break the cycle and field-of-dreams the win.”

So let’s go Montreal Canadiens Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, Ottawa Senators, and Winnipeg Jets! It is time to reclaim your title and piss off that orange guy in the White House.

Although if they win, he might ban them from coming to the States to play in future games.

The room spray is only available at four Canadian locations. Front and John, Cityplace, Ice District, and Kanata, for a limited time.

Rob Lowe gets mistaken for John Stamos by a Hollywood Tour Guide
April 15th, 2025 under Rob Lowe. [ Comments: none ]

Rob Lowe was walking in Beverly Hills with his son Johnny, and he got noticed by the guide of a Hollywood tour bus.

Well, sort of. That is because he mistook the Outsider for the insider John Stamos.

How did the ageless actor react? He looked at his kid with disbelief. Then, he asked the tourists, “Do I like John Stamos?” They all screamed no before admitting that he is Rob Lowe!

Lowe jokingly told the driver to get better at his job. The driver said he was just having some fun because he never expects to see celebrities, as he gives tours about seeing celebrities’ homes.

The Floor host then let the driver retake control. Before he got the tour back on track, he thanked Uncle Jesse, I mean Sam Seaborn, for having such a “cool energy.”

At this point, Lowe has to be used to being confused for the other guy. I don’t know why because they don’t look alike and their careers have not followed the same path! Although they are both cool to their fans, and that is why the Parks & Recreation star literally made those tourists’ trip one they will never forget!

The Savannah Bananas are coming to ESPN!!!
April 14th, 2025 under Savannah Bananas, Sports figures. [ Comments: none ]

A few years ago, TikTok introduced me to The Savannah Bananas, a unique baseball team that brings joy to the game, which doesn’t have it like it used to. The players, including the one on stilts, dance and have fun with their fans, so it is not just nine innings of running the bases!

The players have gotten so popular on social media that ESPN is adding them to their lineup on April 26th.

“The Savannah Bananas have mastered the art of blending baseball with entertainment, creating an experience that resonates with fans of all ages, regardless of their baseball knowledge,” said Brent Colborne, ESPN Vice President of Programming & Content Strategy. “Their unique approach embodies two of ESPN’s key goals: reaching new audiences and inspiring the next generation of youth athletes. With Banana Ball showcased on ESPN and Disney linear and streaming platforms, we are confident new, avid fans will be created.”

“Our relationship with ESPN has been outstanding for the Savannah Bananas and for the sport of Banana Ball,” said Jesse Cole, founder and CEO of the Savannah Bananas. “As the ‘Greatest Show in Sports’ makes its way to sold out MLB, College Football and NFL Stadiums, ESPN is the perfect place to showcase the electricity of the game as we near the launch of the Banana Ball Championship League in 2026.”

Discover their electricity on social media and then watch them do their thing on the small screen.

Banana Ball will be showcased on Friday and Saturday nights on ESPN or ESPN2, with all ten games to simulcast live on Disney+ and ESPN+.
