Savannah Bananas were everywhere last year. Well, almost everywhere. They did not collaborate with any restaurants. That was last year. This year, they added Dairy Queen to their team!
The shake giant is coming to the plate on February 23rd with the Savannah Bananas Split Shake. The shake features DQ’s world-famous soft serve, blended with real milk, fresh banana, strawberries, and chocolatey shavings, all crowned with whipped topping.
“The Savannah Bananas are all about having fun, and creating unforgettable moments for our fans is at the heart of everything we do,” said Jared Orton, President at Savannah Bananas. “This season, we’re excited to elevate those experiences through our partnership with DQ. We share a mission of spreading joy to our fans and that’s exactly what we plan to do as partners.”
DQ will also be spreading the joy at Bananas’ baseball games with pre-game rallies and handing out treats and special offers.
The Savannah Bananas have been everywhere, but there was one place they have not been. Where is that place? It is late night television.
However, that all changed yesterday when they appeared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. And boy did the baseball team hit it out of the park.
Everyone was highlighted, and by the end of it all, Fallon became an honorary member.
If ever there was a day that we needed them, yesterday was it! We need more positivity in the world, and they are it!
Over the weekend, the biggest baseball news was about a woman who went foul over a ball.
On Friday, Phillies center fielder Harrison Bader hit a home run that went up into the stands, and several fans went to catch the ball. But it was Drew Feltwell who got his hands on it and gave it to his son, who is about to turn 10.
Just as they were celebrating, this bitchy woman came out of nowhere and claimed the ball was hers. Rather than spend the rest of the game fighting, he gave her the ball, disappointing his son.
But the story has a happy ending because Bader asked to meet Lincoln and signed a bat for him. This way, he didn’t go home empty-handed and has good memories from the game and not bad ones.
Talking about the bad one, Phillies Karen has not been identified. Or has she?
The Savannah Bananas recreated that moment during their game, and it was the Grinch who revealed himself to be the Karen. Just when you thought he had grown a heart, it turns out he hadn’t. Maybe the World Series can do that?
